Chapter 8 - Welcome to the Underground Student Council

(A Year Ago)

Yet another day of getting glares from every single person in the school... I still don't think I was the best person for this little experiment but I might be making some progress. I've had excellent grades with each of my classes and I've not been reported once for anything unsavory... But I really don't think any guys will ever be welcomed here.

I was on my way to my room to rest from today since I had finished my classes but when I reached my door I found a paper stuck to my door. The note said something about meeting some people in the cafeteria for dinner... What is this all about? It was nearing dinner and I really had nothing better to do so I suppose I could see what this is about.

I started my way to the cafeteria and like always I various glares from every girl that I passed... This was ridiculous. I reached the cafeteria but it just hit me that I had no idea who I was even looking for... I guess they will just find me when they arrive. I sat down at one of the empty tables and pulled out some folding paper to practice my origami.

I made various animals and I even made the crow which I had been practicing on for a week now, I finally finished it but when I checked the time I saw that I've been here for almost an hour! I looked around and while there was still people here no one has approached me... Was this some kinda joke they were playing on me?

"Sorry were late. We had to deal with some business and It took longer hen expected." I was looking at a black haired girl and there was a very tall girl next to her... The tall one stood out with her... Features. "Its fine... Lets just get this started with. I'm tired and I just want to rest for the evening." They both sat down at the table and introduced themselves.

"My name is Mari Kurihara." "My name Meiko Shiraki." I've never run into either of these girls... Why did they want to meet with me suddenly? "We have a offer for you." A offer... I hope it actually helps me and not just them. "We want you to join our student council and be our financial adviser. You'll be dealing with the money and keeping the school's finances afloat... Do you accept?" I guess there are various befiets to this deal and I might finally get a load off on the glares from all the girls... I guess there really are no down sides to this deal.

"Sure, I'll do that and make sure everything is fine. I guess this makes the three of us partners now." This was the deal that made me a member of the Underground Student Council and it lead to the entire year with those boys in prison... I guess there really was a down side to it.

(Mari POV)

Its been an entire year since he joined the council and he's impacted it quite a bit... If I'm honest I don't think any of us could do what he does. He may be a male but I think he always does his best not to upset anyone and that's exactly why I wanted him to join the council in the first place.

He always seems to do his job no matter the task and its always done perfectly... I don't know how he does it but I'm impressed each time. I've noticed there's been some kinda wall between all of us girls and him though... I've been trying to break it but I can't tell if its working. I think he's talked to Hana and Meiko already but I'm the only one he hasn't hanged out with yet. I guess its my time to bond with him!

I know that today he is going to be going to class since he isn't needed at the prison and I thought we could study together. I know that he takes it very serious and he might enjoy some company while he does, If I am correct he studies in the library. I grabbed my notebooks and some papers from my classes and head straight for the library.

I reached the library and I was right in guessing that (Y/N) was here, I opened door and started to walk towards him and when I got closer he spotted me. "Hi Mari, What are you doing in the library?" He saw my books and he seemed to figure out why I was here. "I'm here to study and I was wondering if I could sit with you?" "Sure, I have no problem with that.".
