Our demons protect our inner core,
Wrapping around,
Digging their claws deeper as more threats approach.
The beast showed itself to the world,
Showed its hunger for power over us,
Its hunger for our golden memories,
Guarding them against our closest friends,
At the cost of our life.
Sometimes the land is safer with leaving the beast alone.
Instead of slaying its essence,
Befriend it,
For our most powerful foe is our greatest ally.
Which is ourselves.
