Dezeray

All was back to normal in the flat. With the kiss nearly forgotten and videos uploaded, Dan's next brilliant idea was to go on another date.

"Dan. Do you remember what happened last time? She was insane!"
"Well I met this one at a coffee shop this time. Not over the internet."
"This one." Phil jokingly mocked. "How many more will there be?"

Dezeray was a nice barista at a local Starbucks. She had one dog named Star, and long, shiny, black hair. Dan went on several dates with her because she was funny and cute. The only problem was her constant presence.
Everywhere Phil looked there was her sweater on the furniture or her wine glass, or her stupid sheddy hair that she never cleaned up. And her FRICKING BOBBY-PINS. How many bobby pins to get to the centre of Phil's patience? At the centre of Phil's patience awaits the wrath of Phil.

The wrath of Phil is not pretty.

Phil had just returned home from the grocery store. He carried the milk to the fridge and just kind of plopped the rest of the stuff on the counter. Mentally counting how many clumps of hair and how many items of clothing were scattered on the counter alone. This girl had only been here a week, and yet she had gotten more on Phil's nerves than the girl who had literally almost broken into their house to get with his crush. I mean. Flatmate.
He walked through the living room towards his bedroom and heard the mumble of conversation beyond his door. Phil was confused. What were they doing in his bedroom?

He stood outside the cracked door to eavesdrop.
Dezeray went in for a kiss, but Dan turned away.

"Baby, what's wrong?"
"I can't do this."
"What? Why not?"
"Have you seen the way Phil looks at me lately?"
"What you think he's in love with you or something?"
"Uh. No. I mean he's mad at me."
"Yeah, for having an amazingly beautiful girlfriend like myself."
Dan deadpanned her. "I'm glad you think so highly of yourself."
"Humph."
"Well we haven't done any YouTube videos and every time he tried I shot him down. Because you're here."
Dezeray went in for another kiss, but Dan pushed her back.
"Dude. I came in here to wait for him, not to make out in his bedroom. Also: I don't want to make out. We've been dating for a week and you've already moved in practically. That's weird. We don't know anything about each other. Please take your stuff and leave."
"Are you breaking up with me?"
Dan sighed and rubbed his temples. He looked up and saw Phil through the door. He got up and walked to him, slinging his arm around Phil's neck as he walked away from his pissed girlfriend.
"Phil! There you are I've been waiting for you. We need to film. Wanna do another sims video?"

They walked into the room to record. Phil hadn't said anything and Dan was worried he had heard what Dezeray had said in the bedroom.

"Is this one as bad as the last one?"Phil asked quietly.

"Not quite." Dan chuckled. Dan noticed Phil's ocean eyes were sparkling with tears, and his posture was worse than normal.

Phil was in the corner adjusting a light. When he turned around, Dan enveloped him in a hug and they both sunk to the floor.

"Phil, baby, what's wrong?" Dan's cheeks tinted slightly at the realization that he had just called Phil baby.

"I— I don't know." Phil stumbled out between breaths. "I guess I just feel so lonely. Cause you're always with a girl now that I just don't....
have anybody." He finished.

"You won't have to worry about that anymore. I am completely done with girls."

Phil smiled a little bit, then whispered, "So you're going to get a line of boyfriends now?"

Dan laughed, then shrugged into their hug.

"I really don't want to get up." At this point Phil was completely on the floor with his head resting in Dan's lap. Dan reached behind him and pulled out a selfie stick, clipped his phone in and started the video, but not before carefully moving Phil's head and sliding down next to him.

"Hey guys! You may notice that we are on the floor. And that is true, because we came in here to film sims, but then we ended up succumbing to the downward acceleration of the Earth—

"And now we're on the floor." Phil finished.

"This is the high quality entertainment you guys sign up to watch.

"Heh."
"What?" Dan questioned.
"Entertainment has 'tert' in it."

They bickered back and forth for the remaining 4 minutes of the video, and then Dan uploaded it to his channel with one of the pre made thumbnails he saved on his phone.

They were both sprawled on the floor, when the door slowly creaked open.
Phil looked up and saw Dezeray, who apparently hadn't left already. He communicated this to Dan using facial expressions (best friends can kind of read those if they're close enough).
Phil averted his eyes and looked back at Dan, who was showing the same expression he had the last time this happened. And Phil knew what was coming. And he was excited.
Dan kissed him, slowly and firmly. He swung his leg over Phil's body and positioned himself on top of the blue eyed boy. Phil let out a small moan.

Dezeray was still in shock. She was standing there watching Phan become real, when she felt some nasty words escape her lips.

"You fucking bastard. I loved you."
Dan broke the kiss and looked at her.

"WHY on EARTH does every girl I've ever dated fall in love with me after dating for a week or less?! This is getting ridiculous!"
He paused. Dropping his hands on either side of Phil's face, and staring into those gorgeous blue eyes.
"Dezeray, we're through."

Dezeray gave one final glare to the boys and promptly left, taking most of her stuff with her.

"I'm not cleaning up the fur balls she left." Phil stated bluntly. Dan lowered his head and chuckled. He looked to the sky.

"Noooooooooooooooo!"
