My School

    1. My school is an old dingy building with floors once white with new ambitions for futures yet untold.
    2. A desire to learn, a craving now faded into a darkened beige.
    3. Worn lines and cracks run throughout it, proof of the damage time will surely take out of everything around.
    4. High ceilings met with bright lights bringing sparks to even the smallest crevices. An example of what expectations are of you.
    5. Doors shut tight, limited resources are locked inside. Taken for granted by those who scrape the walls of ignorance.
    6. Crowed halls rushed through with those who have forgotten the privileges we once fought for the steps they are taking steadily throwing away the things they will never get a chance at again.
    7. Cafeteria filled with the screaming children who know no other way to be heard not realising in a hundred voices the one that's silent will get the most done. Just because you are not heard does not mean you are voiceless.
