Chapter 2: Rejection Redirection

"The protagonist was shocked from what hayato said but most importantly from what he saw".

Early morning in the main protagonist rental house. "What is happening? Am I still drunk? Non of these make no sense" the main protagonist is more confused. " Don't freak out chill ok? I had a lot to explain." calmingly said by Hayato. "How can I chill out? I don't know what is happening. First I didn't receive the promotion I longed for many years and then the girl I like dumped me and now I don't know if you're an alien trying to invade our world" replied by the protagonist. "Thats what happen when you watch too much anime and fantasy stuff" laughingly said by Hayato. The main protagonist sense of this world stops by the moment all information is being processed in his mind. "Information! Overload!" Shouted by the protagonist. "You know we could check the nearest parks that is the perfect spot to explain everything that is happening" said by Hayato. The two of them walk out of the house together with no words to utter suddenly Hayato said "that park is nice!" The two of them headed to the park. "So are you an alien?" Said by the protagonist. "No I'm not, i am also a human from earth but from another earth" said by hayato. "So you mean that parallel worlds exist?". "I guess you're right with that, same concept. It would easier for me to explain if you perceived it as a parallel world". "So why are you here? And why are you saying all of this to me? Are you lost?" Said by the protagonist."I'm here to get you, the other earths need you." Said by Hayato. "Why me? Why the other earth is in danger?" Said by the protagonist . "Ok i will tell you, years ago the planets are peaceful and aligned exactly to the grand circle until one day a galactical battle occured and the universe run out of balance a man that we call Xlade destroyed nearby galaxy for power and to stay alive as a result he devoured many planets resulting to grand distortion that shaken other galaxy light years away into a disruption, as of now your universe is unharmed but you will feel the effect on years to come, so we need you" said by Hayato. "Why me?" Said by the protagonist. Hayato replied "Because within you there is a unbalanced energy that is sleeping dormant in your body". "How are you so sure?" Said by the protagonist. "Here I have a device that detects different types of energy" Hayato pointed the tetromanium in the protagonist body."Hey! Watch out where you pointing it at it might kill me" said by the protagonist. "Trust me it is just a sensor" replied by Hayato. Minutes had passed but there are no signs of energy sense in the protagonist body. "Hmmm nothing happened" said by the protagonist. "Of course your energy is still dormant" laughingly replied by hayato."you're wasting my time!" Said by the protagonist angrily. As the two quarrel a small beep from device echoed across the park. "What was that?" Said by the protagonist."tha tha that was your energy. Picked up by the tetromanium. It is still weak because it's still dormant" said by Hayato. The phone rings from the protagonist pocket. The protagonist hurriedly drawn the phone out of the pocket and answer the call "Yes sir. Yup. Thats right." Said by the protagonist as he drop the call. "So are you coming with me?" Said by Hayato. The protagonist replied "No. I don't care in this world anymore so if we gonna feel the aftermath after several years I'm just gonna waste my remaining time partying enjoying what this world can offer and thats fine. The earth ends with me". "Are you! out of your mind?" Said by Hayato. The protagonist replied "No. I don't mind anymore". the conversation ended as the protagonist walks away leaving Hayato speechless in the park.

In the office
"Gladly i didn't stuck in the traffic. But it almost took me an hour commuting" said by the protagonist.
The protagonist entered the office elevator that lifts up to 30th floor. As the elevator opens in the 23rd floor the protagonist see's familiar faces standing and waiting for the elevator. "Hello! Dunstan" hence the name of the protagonist. "You've been late this past few weeks. Did it hit you hard huh? The one you call your love?" Said by his bestfriend in the office. "You know we can help you, we will drink in all bars tonight to get her out of your system". "I already have plans for tonight, my college friends bought me a ticket to the concert " replied by Dunstan. "Oh is that so?" Said by the bestfriend of Dunstan. "Thanks Des I appreciate all your help I need to head at my cubicle first to time in" said by Dunstan. "Yah right. I'm just going to eat. See ya later pips" replied by Des as he walk to the elevator. Dunstan walks toward his cubicle open his laptop and waited it to boot up. "Its past 12 should I eat? Need to check if there are new emails first" said by Dunstan. Hours had pass on Dunstan work at the office suddenly his phone vibrates. "Oh a message from my friends" . Dunstan reads the messages on his phone "Hey Dunstan let's meet at 7:00PM an hour before the concert, we could eat also together" Dunstan replied "Yup. I will go out of the office early today around 5:30PM. See you". I guess i will not eat heavy meals so I can eat more tonight in the dinner. 30 minutes before Dunstan leaves the office. Dunstan approached his supervisor "Hello Sir can I leave the office an hour early today?". The supervisor said "Yup. Sure I know you've been struggling hard lately you should have a good time beside it's friday and you finished all your works too. You could leave". Dunstan happily replied "Thanks Sir". Dunstan packed all his things in the bag and ready to head out of the office. Its 5:30PM I still got a hour and a half before the dinner. I should get going its hard to commute when it's friday. Dunstan waited for almost 2 and a half hour in the terminal the time is now 8:00PM. frustratedly don't know what to do. He then received a phone call from one of his friends. "Hello where are you?". "Im still in the terminal the line is too long and it's traffic all the vehicles are stranded midway" . "We already ate. Its ok even though the concert starts at 8:00PM we are still in a line. Just hurry quick" . "Yes I will leave the terminal and will call a taxi even though it would cost me much" . "Thats ok rather than missed this concert" said by the voice over the phone. Dunstan leave his line in the terminal and headed straight outside to call a taxi. Minutes have passed no taxi are pulling over to him. Suddenly dunstan notice three utility vehicles passed through the terminal . "If i didn't leave my line I should be also in that vehicle on my way to the concert. Now is not the time for that I should call any taxi no matter what the fare might cost". Dunstan running around in circle still don't know what to do. "Should I go home? Should I continue the concert?" Said by Dunstan the time now is 8:15PM. An old aged man riding a motorcycle asked Dunstan. "Hey boy! Do you want a ride?". Dunstan replied "how much would it cost to get outside the city?" . The driver "said oh it might cost 70". Dunstan thinking seriously. "I know it might cost too much but I needed to get to the concert" dunstan said to the driver "Ok let's go!". Dunstan hop in the motorcycle, while riding Dunstan asked the driver "How much would it cost if we go to the Central Mall". The driver replied "Oh it might cost a hundred but don't worry a hundred is the cheaper price I can give you". Dunstan suddenly paused for a while "Oh. Its really is cheap and I might save time also it would only take 1 way ride". Dunstan said to the driver with a cheerful face "Ok! Let's go to the Central Mall". "Oh. Here we gooo" said by the driver. As they drive around the city using motorcycle a new perspective around the city opens for Dunstan as he views all the companys building lights at night and how thrilled to ride a motorcycle in between Buses and trucks "I know its dangerous, but as of now I don't know why I'm happy cruising the streets". As they approach the Central mall concert ground the phone ring. "Oh. Hello mom. I will attend a concert. Yup with my college friends. Thanks mom. Love you." The time is now 8:40PM. "Hey Mr. Thanks for the ride here goes the fee and take this extra 50 you saved me some time". The motorcycle driver happily take the fare and said "thank you kind Sir". As dunstan approached near the entrance his phone rings. "Hey im almost at the entrance meet me" said by Dunstan "We are worried you know, you didn't answer our calls we thought you'd head home already" said by the voice over the phone . "It's a long story but I'm now in the entrance. Did I missed the concert?" Said by Dunstan. "No the concert is just starting right now" replied by the voice over the phone. "I'm glad with that. Meet me at the entrance" said by Dunstan. "Ok we're on our way down". His friends reached out her hands to give the ticket to Dunstan."show that to the guard at the entrance". "Oh ok" said by Dunstan. As the group meet inside the concert stage "I've got a lot to tell, Sorry if I'm late." Laughingly said by Dunstan."That's ok let's enjoy the concert" said by Shell the voice over the phone along with Arlaine the other girl who is also invited in the concert. They seated on the upper leftmost part of the concert stage. The seating arrangement are Shell in the leftmost part followed by Arlaine and Dunstan. Arlaine and Dunstan are close friends from college but Dunstan falls inlove to arlayne and it somewhat destroyed their friendship but is now ok Dunstan found a new love in the office where he works in. "Hey how are you?" Said by Arlaine "I'm good a little tired from the trip" laughingly replied by Dunstan. "That's not what I meant, how are you with the girl?" Said by Arlaine. "Oh I guess we drifted apart" Awkwardly replied by Dunstan. "Don't worry we will just enjoy the concert" replied by Arlaine smiling. After a while the singer shared her story and I remember her saying "Every Rejection has a redirection." Dunstan suddenly stop and have a thinking time. "Come to think of it, all happens for a reason, even though i got stucked in the job I'm earning enough for a living, even though I got my heart broken I have friends who I can trust to and will cheer me up, even though I got stucked in the traffic and cursed the world there is a cheerful driver that lend a help and let me experience a new view from the city I worked in and give me thrills cruising the highway with trucks and buses, even though im distantly far away from my family they're still there always calling me over the phone and even though this life is falling I don't want others to drag in my fate and let this world go rot. One door had closed but a new world opens for me, I hope Hayato is still there to be found". Shell noticed Dunstan thinking deeply "Hey what happened? You looked like unhappy" said by Shell. "No. I just found my new direction" replied by Dunstan filled with passion on his eyes...
