Chapter 5: Dream Drop, Distances

Dunstan clock is ticking to it's final countdown. What will happen next?

I arrived at my rental house.

Hayato said: Hello there! It's pretty late, have you taken your dinner? I have a burger in the fridge just heat it up.
Dunstan said: No thanks, I'm tired I just need a good sleep.
Hayato said: Suit yourself.
Dunstan said: Suit yourself too, I have a present in my bag go check it out.
Hayato said: What is it? I'm on my way *laughing*.

I fall into deep sleep because of exhaustion.

Dunstan dream sequence:
Everything is dark, I think I'm falling again I can feel the air passing through my body. I can hear voices they're all saying don't come. My body is moving on it's on now I'm on two path one that leads into a bright room and one to a dark room.

I suddenly woke up.

Dunstan: Whoa!
Hayato said: Oh good morning you're up too early, it's just 5:00AM.
Dunstan said: What? Wait did you sleep?
Hayato said: No uh, sleep is for the weak besides I'm playing that device all night. Thanks *laugh* I'm now charging it up, I guess your world doesn't invented yet a self recharging battery, so I tried to learn how to plug it.
Dunstan said: Ohh, I'm hungry.
Hayato said: The burger is still there in the fridge heat it and eat it.
Dunstan said: That's the best thing you've done since we first met.
Hayato said: Hey I carried you when you passed out, I taught you about your dormant energy and many more.
Dunstan said: Just kidding.

I finished eating and fixed myself, I will work again in the office for the last time.

I guess he enjoyed my hand held device, I'm happy with that.

Hayato said: See you later, by the way the drive is on its final charging state so from my estimation later tonight we can start the jumping process.
Dunstan: Oh ok, Let's have a final discussion about that later.
Hayato said: Yup, I hope you got your final answer by then and I hope your agenda is to save the universe so that we are aligned to each other.
Dunstan said: See yah lock the doors.
Hayato said: If they break in I have my saber here and a couple of plasma bomb so only death awaits to those who will try to manifest inside this house.
Dunstan said: So cruel.

I walked out of my rental house and head to the office.

I'm waiting for the elevator,the middle elevator door opened. I entered already not knowing that in the next elevator that will open awaits the one person that I badly want to bid farewell, I had a glimpsed of her as the elevator door closed. The elevator lifts all the passenger to their respective floors, as the elevator door opened on floor 23rd. I saw again familiar faces as I walk through my seat. I saw Des waiving his hands.

Des said: Yow let's eat.
Dunstan said: I just got in the office wait for awhile.
Des said: Sure, you know it's hard if you don't have something to do.
Dunstan said: Then finished your work.
Des said: How can I finished a work if there is no work to begin with?
Dunstan said: Oh then help me on my task.
Des: I'm just gonna watch you over here sitting pretty.

I boot my laptop and begin to do what I do everyday after that I composed a long email and send it to my manager, an email about resignation.

Dunstan said: Let's go. Let's eat.
Des said: Oh so you're done.

We finished eating, as we get back to the office my manager is waiting for me.

Manager said: Let's talk.
Dunstan said: Ok I guess you received my email.
Manager said: Yup. Let's find a vacant meeting room outside.

My manager told me the things that might happen if I resign and he asked me what is the purpose of my resignation. My manager thought because that I've been linked to the girl that I love the most in the office that's why I'm resigning but gladly my manager believed that I'm resigning because of an out of the country adventure and it might take some time before I can get back to work, no one in the company knows that I would resign. The resignation will be effective tomorrow, not even Des my closest friend knows my plan of resigning.
