Chapter 3: Rules and Regulations

As Dunstan collectively made up his mind, it's time to find Hayato and join the journey.

The concert ended well, we enjoyed the concert. The time now is 11:30PM. My stomach suddenly rumbled.
Oh I didn't eat since I left the office.

Dunstan said: I forgot I didn't eat since afternoon. *laughs
Shell said : Oh let's eat I know a place.
Dunstan said: You two will also eat? Right?
Arlaine said: Let's Go!

We decided to eat in a nearby fastfood chain. I ordered their meal then carefully placed the food in our table.

Shell said: So how are you?
Dunstan said: let's eat first I guess.
Shell & Arlaine said: Oh.

Even though my mood changes, Arlaine and Shell continued to talk to each other while I'm quietly thinking deep.

Even though I realized how lucky I am, I'm still not ok but if all Hayato said are true maybe I can escape from this world, gonna find out more about this parallel world thing.

We finished eating.

Dunstan said: I'm not ok.

Arlaine and Shell are stunned from what they hear. They can feel that I am lonely.

Arlaine said: That's ok you will be fine.
Shell said: We're here if you need help.
Dunstan said: I'm exhausted from the happenings lately.
Shell said: Have some rest.
Arlaine said: We should head home, Its getting late now.
Dunstan said: that's right. Thanks for today guys.

As we walk outside the fastfood chain, we headed to the terminal where they took a ride home. Arlaine and Shell lived near to each other so they took a ride in the same bus while I took a ride from the van. I arrived at the gate of the subdivision, as I walked the empty streets thinking about Hayato.

Dunstan: Where is he? I can't let hayato leave, I must know about this parallel worlds.

I arrived in front of my rental house, no sign of Hayato. I entered inside the house and fixed my things and immediately goes to the bedroom and tried to fall asleep. I looked straight to the ceiling thinking.

Dunstan said: Do I really have a powers? That would be cool though, I need to find out.

Dunstan dream sequence:
Everything is burning, a long haired man standing in the middle. All I can see are different looking creatures, the long haired man looked at me and he is walking towards me now.

I suddenly wake up. Hayato is standing right in my room fixing his rectangular bag. Hayato noticed that I'm awake.

Hayato said: Hello, good morning.
Dunstan said: Where did you go?.
Hayato said: I'm waiting all night for you to get home, but it's getting late so I went inside your house.
Dunstan said: How'd you get inside? Where'd you get the keys?
Hayato said: Oh, I opened the door using my tools. Your door doesn't have any advance security features so it's easy to open it.
Dunstan said: I think i need some more rest.
Yamato said: suit yourself its weekend

I fall asleep again due to exhaustion from the party and from thinking, this time I didn't dream of anything and now peacefully sleeping.

Hayato decides to clean all his things in his bags. Hayato decides to buy lunch for us. Hayato used my money to buy in the nearby mini market for lunch.

I wake up and notice Hayato leaved the house.

Dunstan said: Maybe he bought something to eat.

I noticed Hayato's bag. I opened it and I'm shocked from what I found, a metal handle that looks like a sword handle but more futuristic next is a scanner like gun that has a blinking 1 bar I guess it was low on battery next is a metal ball with futuristic signs. I guess this is a bomb better not play with it and the tetromanium that he used to me to detect my level of energy. Minutes have passed Hayato entered the house . Hayato caught me meddling in his things.

Hayato said: Hey don't meddle with my things.
Dunstan said: Sorry I looked inside your bag.
Hayato said: It's ok though I bought you a lunch. Let's eat.
Dunstan said: Thanks, I didn't personally introduce myself I'm Dunstan Maro.
Hayato said: No need, I saw it already on your ID.
Dunstan said: Ok, you introduce yourself again.
Hayato said: I'm Hayato a scientist from earth 775, nice to meet you.
Dunstan said: oh, can you explain it again all to me?
Hayato: said Let's eat first.

Hayato and Dunstan seated in the table and grab the burger.

Hayato said: So, I'm from earth 775 where we lived in a technological age of advancement. My country is located eastern part of this world. I'm not from this country in my world.
Dunstan said: how can you speak other language so good?
Hayato said: I used a device that translate foreign languages and transmit that sound in other language too. So basically I'm speaking my language but all you can hear from my mouth is a translated version to your language.
Dunstan said: So that's why you have mech type of ear. So what about your glasses? In our earth we currently developing a holographic glasses is that it?
Hayato said: This is not a holographic glasses, as of now I can't tell you what it does it's far too complicated.
Dunstan said: Ok, so what do you call our earth? What is the number of our earth? Yours is 775 right?
Hayato said: *laughs* We call your earth 750 . Your earth is number 750 from the counts of parallel earths.
Dunstan said: I'm ready to travel across the parallel worlds.
Hayato said: Oh why a change of heart so sudden?
Dunstan said: I noticed the little things that i must protect, if its true that I'm the key for the salvation of the galaxy then I'm on it.
Hayato said: Not galaxy but the whole universe. I think you are all composed now.

Hayato finished the burger and grabbed something in his rectangular bag.

Hayato said: I know you've seen this, the drive.
Dunstan said: I've seen it, its blinking I thought its on low battery.
Yamato said: You're right once this bar is full we can start hoping in the universe but now it's currently ran out of charges, it won't work in its full capacity.
Dunstan said: How long is the charging time?
Hayato said: estimated time is within the next 3 days, you have the time to think about it and prepare yourself.

My phone suddenly rings.

Dunstan said: Hello mom? Yes. I'm staying here at the house. I don't have plans for tonight. Yes. Thanks mom.
Hayato said: You must cut emotional ties. Travelling from universe while your feelings are still intact in this world might affect our journey, of course after we stop this so called Xlade I will take you home.
Dunstan said: Oh, how long do you think it would take?
Hayato said: I can't estimate that.
Dunstan said: Are we travelling to the past or future?.
Hayato said: We are all passing an intact time, so if you gonna ask, no we're not. 1 second here is 1 second there, if we're gone for a month then only a month would passed on this earth too.
Dunstan said: How can you explain that where you came from is a far futuristic earth?
Hayato said: We're ahead of time it is because we are farther from the count of a grand circle I will explain further more in the next world.
Dunstan said: Right, I'm speechless from what I've known.
Hayato said: Take it easy, if you really want to join my journey you have 3 days to enjoy your life with your friends, family and loved ones.
Dunstan said: Ok, how about my job? Can you help me financially?
Hayato: We can pay you, you will not work for the rest of your lives.

I felt the joy I imagined myself swimming in a pool of gold.
