Chapter XVIII- SwapFell

Cross' P.O.V

We loaded SwapFell onto our ship and started to head out. Usually they said they'd just ignore people like SwapFell but Nightmare says he has potential to be a pirate. I just shook my head and watched as the crew did work. Like raising the anchor and setting out to sail.

But before we set off to sail, they raided a store for food. SwapFell was tied to a pole just in case he tried to escape. I really didn't know what to do since everything is boring.

"You look bored"

I jolted in surprise as someone whispered into my ear. I turned to meet the teal eye of my lover. "Nightmare! Hell be a demon, you scared me!" I shrieked. "Hah, too easy to scare" Nightmare chuckled as I calmed my rapid beating soul. "So, where do we go now?" I asked.

"Hm, maybe we can find an island to raid since we haven't been out in a while" Nightmare pondered on what to do.

"Well Captain, whatever you do, I'll be with you" I lightly grasped his hand and intertwined my fingers with his, giving his hand a light squeeze. He chuckled, intertwining his fingers with mine and gave me a light squeeze.

"Heh, the only Captain I am for you, is the Captain of your heart~" he grinned. I gave him a bright smile.

"Blech!" Someone gagged. We turned to see SwapFell gagging.

SwapFell: Its too lovey-dovey.

Dust: Get used to it shortfell.

SwapFell: WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU JUST CALL ME?!

Killer: Hah, shortfell.

Error: KeEp AnTaGoNiZiNg HiM! ItS fUnNy SiNcE hE cAn'T dO mUcH!

We all laughed as SwapFell growled and protested saying he isn't short. I looked up at the sky, relishing this happy moment. It was all well when suddenly,

"WAIT!!!!" Someone called.

We turned to see Blue ran up onto the deck.

"Blue?" I spoke unsurely.

Blue: I wanted you to join me, although we're rivals, it'll be fun to be together.

Cross: Must so not be rivals if you consider me being on your ship short-stack.

Dust: He ain't that short!

Fell: Dust's right!

Cross: Can you put you're love lives away for a bit?

Dust&Fell: L-love lives?! S-shut up!! *Blushes*

Cross: Riiigggghhtttt........anyways, it ain't gonna happen since I would prefer to be captain.

Blue: Captain?! Its my ship!!

Cross: But you can't handle being Captain! Look at you!

Blue: Just because I'm short you don't believe I can do it?!

Cross: Hey, you admit you're short! Also, yeah.

Blue: Grrr!! Forget about it, I'm not allowing you on my ship!

Cross: I didn't even want to join!!

Blue stomped off the ship in a fit and I snickered quietly.

"Ah, classic rivalry, I'll beat him one day" I grinned.

"Aren't you basically the same stats? Him being a pirate makes him train more, causing him to become stronger" Nightmare explained.

"Gee, Captain obvious" I rolled my eyelights.

"Hah, don't sass me Cross, you never know when I can wreck you~" Nightmare purred, stepping closer.

"I'm pretty sure I'd enjoy it~" I stepped foward. We leaned and kissed gently.

"Blech!"

I knew that voice and ignored her.

"Yo Cross! Hey! Eww! C'mon, get your teeth off of that glob you call 'handsome'!" Chara cringed.

We pulled away as Nightmare started to head up to the top deck.

"Stop being such a brat and shut up" I shook my head.

"Don't give me that! Your necklace! Do you still have it?" Chara inquired. I nodded.

"The necklace of the sea, taken by the king of sharks til he died and it was taken by you're mother and passed down to you. You can control the sea and yet you don't use it!" Chara floated around me.

"You just want me to destroy something" I growled as I went into my cabin.

"You're right, I do, but the sharks keep following you until you give your necklace to someone else! Its not bad but you earned the title 'Cross The Shark Slayer' after killing 35 sharks ruthlessly when they tried to kill you. All the teeth you obtained from killing those sharks are like trophies to you and you made necklaces, bracelets, earrings and sold them. Why can't we just give the necklace to someone else?" Chara whined.

"We can't! My mother gave this to me and its the only thing I have left of her! Besides, this necklace is important and if anyone finds out about it, I'm fried!" I growled.

"Really?"

I turned to see SwapFell looking at me questioningly.

"Uh......did you?"

"Yes, I did hear you talking to yourself about everything"

Thats when SwapFell ran out of my cabin. I rushed after him as we ran past Dust, Killer, Fell, Error and Horror and saw as they had confused looks on their faces. I, in desperation tried to get close enough to tackle him.

He headed towards Nightmare, ready to spill my secret. I tackled him at the last moment as he yelped. Nightmare jolted in surprise and looked at us.

"What are you doing?"

"CROSS' NECKLACE CAN CONTROL THE SEA AND HE'S BEEN HIDING IT!!" SwapFell shrieked as it was too late.

I got up to see everyone looking at me.

"What?"
