A/N: This is kind of a part two to the previous chapter.
"Poultry Science still has some openings!"
Y/n hears as she continues to browse through the fair.A green booth that reads 'Barden DJs" catches her eye and she starts towards it.
Y/n begins to look through the flyers that are set on the table while waiting for the club heads to tend to their booth.
"Ah yeah, DJs," says an Australian accent that appears to belong to the heavy blonde girl approaching her. "Deaf Jews..." she says, pointing the the sign on the table while making eye contact with y/n. She then proceeded to mimick a turn table.
"Shalom!" shouted one of the two kippah-wearing boys as they walked behind the table. Both had hearing-aids.
"That's not a real word but keep trying!" replied the blonde girl with a smile. "You. Will. Get. There." The boys exchanged confused looks as one pulled the sign up sheet out of her reach.
"Not a lot of Jewish people where you're from?" Y/n asked, amused for perhaps the first time today since that boy in the car....
"Ah, no. But I did do Fiddler on the Roof once in high school," she replied. "It was like me and some Aboriginals. It was really Jewish. This is full-on Jew." Y/n nodded and started away from the booth. Just before she was out of earshot she heard the girl click her tongue.
"Hey, guys. Alright I'll give you my number."

"Come on! Get in shape with your friends at the Triathlon!"
Y/n now looked around mindlessly, for her previous choice of club had not been what she thought it was.
"Ooh! What about her?" Sadie exclaimed, pointing in y/n's direction.
"Oh, I don't know. She looks a little alternative for us," Millie replied, referring to her dark make up and outfit.
Sadie chose to ignore this comment and when y/n walked by, held a flyer out to her and said, "Hi! Any interest in joining our A Cappella group?"
Y/n took the flyer to examine.
"Oh, right. This is like a thing now..."
"Oh, totes! We sing covers of songs but we do it without any instruments," explained Sadie. "It's all with our mouths."
"Yikes..." y/n responded.
"There's four groups on campus," Sadie continues, all while Millie nods along. "The Bellas—that's us, the B.U. Harmonics," she gestures to the group a few booths away that appear to be giving each other shoulder rubs while flipping through their music sheets. "They sing a lot of Madonna. Uh, the high notes," she turns to a group spread across the grass, lying all over each other laughing. They were definitely high on something. "They're not particularly motivated. And then there's..." Millie and Sadie reluctantly turn in the direction of the trebles.
"Let it whip!" The boys sang out, finishing their song.
The two girls pursed their lips, not wanting to speak the group's name.
"So, are you interested?" Sadie finally asked y/n.
Y/n smiled.
"Sorry, it's just....it's pretty lame."
"Aca-scuse me? Synchronized lady dancing to Mariah Carey chart topper is not lame," Millie defended with a nervous chuckle.
"We sing all over the world and we compete in national championships," Sadie interjected.
"On purpose?" Y/n questions with a smirk. This sent Millie over the edge.
"We played the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center you bitch!"
Y/n raised her eyebrows.
"What Millie means to say is we are a close-knit, talented group of ladies whose dream is to return to the national finals at Lincoln Center this year," Sadie explained. Y/n, however, had already decided she wasn't having any of this. "Help us turn our dreams into a reality?"
Y/n sighed. "Sorry, I don't even sing. But it was really nice meeting you guys." Well, one of you guys, she thought as she walked away from yet another booth.
Stress tears now brimmed Millie's eyes. "What are we gonna do?"

"When you came in and you were just strumming your guitar and it was like totally off-key I wanted to choke you!" Jack Grazer was talking to Noah and Jaeden, two of his fellow Treble Makers. "I wanted to choke you out!" He seemed to be scaring them just a bit.
"Ok I'm gonna go introduce myself!" Gaten whispered to Finn. The trebles performance had ended 5 minutes ago. They had been standing there listening in to their conversations since. Finn didn't see what the big deal was with these dudes, but Gaten seemed to be really enthusiastic about them, so he stuck around to please his new friend. Also to make sure he didn't get himself into trouble.
"Okay," Finn nodded.
"Everybody be cool, it's just a normal day," Gaten said, although it was clear he was freaking out. He slowly approached Jack, Finn following closely behind. "Hi!" he exclaims. But Jack didn't seem to hear him.
"Hi," he says again, finally gaining Jack and his surrounding trebles attention. "Gaten Matarazzo. I saw you guys perform at a Mall of America three years ago. Totally changed my life! I have not stopped thinking about you since."
Jack shared a confused & cocky look with Jaeden.
"...thank you," he finally says, placing his hands on his hips.
"Uh, Jack!" Gaten exclaims, leaning in closer. "Huge fan! Your arrangement of Lovin' Spoonful's 'Do you believe in Magic' inspired me to become a certified illusionist!" Gaten waved his hands together and pulled a red ribbon from one of them.
"Wow," Finn said from behind.
Jack, however, was not amused. "The smell of your weird is actually affecting my vocal chords, so I'm gonna need you to scoot, skedaddle!"
Gaten wasn't catching on.
"Well, why don't we just exchange emails, and then totally hang out right now, together!"
"No. Hard pass." Jack shook his head violently. "Hard pass."
Finn patted a rejected and confused Gaten on the shoulder and directed him away from the trebles.
"What a nerd alert!" Jack says to the rest of the trebles. Some chuckle and nod in agreement. "Okay guys, now let's match pitch." He sings a note on "La" and the rest of the trebles follow his example, harmonizing in perfect pitch.
"Too far," Finn says to Gaten as they walk away. He has his arm across his shoulders in a comforting manner.
"You think?" He responds.
"Yeah. A little bit."
"Should I have done another trick?"
"No, I think your trick was fine. I just think the talking was a little weird," Finn points out. Gaten nods in realization. "Maybe you can try Facebook messaging him."
They walk past the campus internships booth where y/n stands, looking at all the options.
A/N: I felt so bad for Gaten when writing this. Stay tuned; more Finn and y/n coming up in the next chapter.
