A Friends Promise (Izuku Midoriya x reader)

~Hospital~

//The Next Day//

"(Y/N)!" Izuku yells, running down the halls to find her hospital room. Tears streaming down the poor boys face.

//Deku's POV//

Oh my god... why wasn't I there? To help her! I was to busy talking to All Might to even check on her! She could've died!

I feel my throat get tighter as I continue to run to (y/n)'s room number. As I get to the hallway, I see news reporter after news reporter flooding the outside of her room, police officials guarding her room.

How the hell am I supposed to get through this!?

I guess I'll have to squeeze in there.

"Excuse me"

"Please, I need to get to her!" I ask, finally being able to squeeze to the front of the crowd, the security looks down at me.

"Please sir! I need to see her! You see- she's my girlfriend, I'm worried sick." I manage to choke out, cheeks still wet with tears. Every camera pointed at me.

"Well.. she gave us a list of who can visit and their relations to her, what's your name?" The man questions

"Izuku Midoriya!"

"Alright, I see your name, go inside." The man replied as he opened the door. That followed with a storm of angry shouting from the news reporters... it's not my problem, I step into the room and see (y/n) sitting on a bed, bruised and cuts all over her body.

"(Y/n)..."

my voice cracking following with tears to flow down my cheeks like a waterfall, seeing her like this... I can't stand it.

(Y/n) looks up and smiles at me, she's so beautiful. I just stand there and begin to tear up some more-

Before I knew it I sprinted over to the bed and wrapped my arms tightly around her like my entire life depended on it. I love her so damn much.

"Are you proud of me.... izuku?"

"You're a real hero (y/n).. but I need you to not scare me like that! When I got that phone call and saw you on the news I thought you were going to die!" I choke out, dry tears replacing new ones.

"I know... but I couldn't not do anything- my body just moved without my brain to make a second thought.." she trailed off

That is so similar to what happened yesterday- I don't think I should mention me running into a burning alleyway to try to save kacchan or how All Might saved me from the sludge villain. Or even how he wants me to have his quirk...

It'll worry her...

"Hey! It's a okay... okay I'm just glad you're okay... I'm so happy you're okay... so happy.." I manage to say between sobs, hugging her tighter.

"Thank you so much Izuku.."

"No, thank you (y/n)...

We talked for hours upon hours, giggling and smiling.

"So umm.. why is there so many reporters outside?" (Y/n) questioned

"They're here for you! You're practically famous! You're on just about every news station! You're a hero!" I exclaim, Im so proud of her... I hope she knows that. I also hope she knows that seeing her fight like that scared me half to death.

"No way..."

"Yes way."

"I hope it won't be any trouble getting out... they're releasing me today. I only had minor damage to my leg and back, plus a few bruises and cuts.. it hurts like hell but I'll live." (Y/n) smiles.

"That's good. I'm glad to hear." I smile wide.

"Hey kid, visit time is over, we've gotta do some more things before we let her leave. Thank you so much for coming though!" A young doctor insisted.

"Well, I guess it's time to go, I'll talk to you later." I say, kissing her on the cheek.

"Love you izuku."
