A Friends Promise (Izuku Midoriya x reader)

~3 months before the exam~

~Three months before the entrance exam~

Izuku's POV

I've been working hard for the past three months. All Might has really been pushing me, but it's for the best. After all, I need to work harder than anybody else to get in. So here I am, running next to the greatest hero in the world. Who wants to give me, me of all people his quirk.

I suddenly feel tired and winded and collapse, All Might turns around and kneels next to me.

"Come on Midoriya! Do you want my quirk or not!?" All Might smiled.

"O OF C COURSE ALL M MIGHT!! WHY WOULDNT I!" I stammered, I know he's just trying to motivate me. I've been working my body so hard, it's hard to even move.

"You've been overworking yourself haven't you?" All Might questioned

"I just want to be a good hero." I mumble

"You will be, but if you don't follow the instructions I gave you, none of this work will pay off." He looked me straight in the eyes, now in his muscle form, smiled down at me, a hand outstretched ready to help me get back up.

"You're right." I grab his hand and he pulls me up.

"Let's get back to work and then we can go out for lunch!" All Might laughs, he's like a father figure to me.

I begin running again, All Might and I talk while we run.

"So, how's that girlfriend of yours doing young Midoriya? Have you two known each other for long?" All Might grinned, causing me to go redder than I already was from running.

Is he actually interested in learning about (y/n)?

"Oh (y/n)? She's absolutely amazing! I love her! I would do anything for her! She's a lot like me in a way, very nerdy!! She so selfless and kind.. she can get a bit sarcastic and sassy but not towards me. When we were little.. her and I would talk all day long about wanting to be like you when we grew up." I smile, but then I begin to envision her standing in front of that monster-like villain, the fear plastered on (y/n)'s face.. the images go through my mind of what could've happened to her.. this vision pops out through my mind all the time.. making me shutter with a tight throat.

I gulp, clench my teeth and regain my focus-

"I care for her so much, I would lay down my life to protect her, despite being quirkless- I would do anything for her wellbeing." I finish, causing All Might's smile to grow.

"Your selflessness is beyond heroic.. I can tell you care about her a lot. Use your love for her as motivation to keep going and be the best version of you as you can!" All Might acknowledges.

I smile harder, the fact that all Might doesn't just care about me obtaining his power, her cares about my personal life as well..

I've got three more months to mold myself into a proper vessel. Three more months until the entrance exam.. I have to work hard to achieve my dreams and be with (y/n)

And I've got All Might to help me!
