Steph's week vacation was over as soon as it began, and Sutton and I drove together to take her to the airport, leaving Hunter at home with the boys. Sutton insisted we sing on the drive, and Stephanie was awestruck at Sutton's singing.
"Sutton! You're amazing," she turned to see my little girl in the back, beaming, "are you gonna be a professional like your mom."She shrugged, "Daddy is teaching me piano." I nodded as I pulled into a parking spot. We walked Stephanie into the airport.
"Don't be a stranger," I hugged her, "We hope to come up in the summer. We will keep in touch." She hugged me back and gave Sutton a hug before embarking to her gate. Sutton and I headed home, stopping to get groceries and a few other things as well. "How's school going sweetie?" Sutton and I talked about school, and she asked me about playing piano more. "I think daddy would be happy to help you with piano. I'm sorry we have been so busy with the baby."
We finished running errands and pulled into the driveway. Hunter had dinner on the go, I fed Beckett while Easton and Sutton played quietly. After dinner, Hunter and I outfitted the kids to go to the park. They romped ahead as Hunter and I pushed the stroller. "Sutton asked if you could spend more time with her on the piano. I think she feels a little on the back burner."
"Ah shoot," Hunter pursed his lips together, "yeah, I'll talk to her about it. I don't want any of our kids to feel pushed aside."
"They know they're loved. She understands the baby can't take care of himself. We will figure it out." Hunter and I grabbed a seat, watching Easton and Sutton play with a few other children on the climbers. "When are we working on the videos?"
"I was going to talk to you about it. I think next weekend will be our first shoot. The first song we will be shooting is You Got Me." Hunter's eyes sparkled as he tapped his knee. I could see the creativity flowing through him. I placed me hand on his knee, he placed his hand over mine. I checked the time and we wrangled the kids, heading home for baths and bed.
"Jenna, we need you on the set." John, the director came into the dressing room where I was getting my hair and make up done. The morning was spent doing all of Hunter's scenes, and Amy joined us to help corral the kids. I checked myself in the mirror, my hair was in loose curls and I was wearing a black tee shirt dress, jean jacket and converse. I stepped out to see Hunter, his face broke into a smile.
"You literally look like you stepped back in time seven years." he kissed my cheek and we walked hand in hand to the set.
"This is definitely an outfit I would've worn when we were dating." We touched base with the screenwriter and directors, the scene was taking place on a horse farm and parts of it included Hunter and I laying in the bed of a truck, walking down the farm laneway and we even got to lead a horse into the field. With a dinner break for the kids and Beck, the whole shoot took about four hours.
"That's a wrap on You Got Me," the director called, "good job guys!" Hunter kissed me as we headed back to find the kids playing a game with Amy while she rocked Beckett. We thanked her and we headed home, all smiles over the fun we had today. "Thank you for including me, and our kids in this project. It will be a really nice memory for the kids to look back on." Hunter held my hand and nodded.
"You and the kids, you're everything. I have grown so much from the moment we found out you were pregnant for the first time, and now with our family complete, I would be crazy not to have you all be part of this." We winded down for the night and spent Sunday together as a family around a pancake breakfast. Hunter took time to play piano with Sutton and I took Easton and Beckett to the park on my own before getting back into the groove for a week of school ahead.
A few of the video shoots took place while the kids were at school and Alexis was available to handle Beckett. The second and third videos, Right for Me and Stunner were filmed downtown. Once again, I felt like I had stepped back in time with the outfits I got to wear. The last two videos were set to be filmed over the next two weekends because we needed the kids. "I'm so excited to include the kids in the next shoots," I smiled, sipping my ice tea, "Hey Becks you're gonna be a star." I kissed his head as he sat contently on my lap. Hunter smiled, letting out a little sigh.
"I'm excited too, these videos and this music has been the past seven years in the making, I can't believe it." He smiled as Beckett yawned, "So, who is he looking like?" At four months old, he had lighter hair, but his eyes are somewhere between grey and blue.
"Hard to say, but unlike Sutton and Easton, he doesn't have your nose." I looked at the sweet little human in my arms, just in awe of this miracle baby. "My nose, your hair and eyes maybe?" I looked at Hunter and he shrugged, taking a sip of his coffee.
The weekend was a whirlwind of getting the kids to cooperate for filming the last two songs. On Saturday, we filmed a portion of the fifth video, What I Know, at a park downtown and the other half at a rental house. It was decided that it would make sense to film Still Fallin at the same house and have the kids 'act' like they were at home, playing in the yard etc.
"Congratulations Hunter," John hollered, "I'm calling a wrap on the Just a Moment project!" We cheered and happily celebrated with the kids by going out for dinner. The week leading up to the releases were insane for Hunter. He had a lot of press which meant I had to take Easton and Sutton to school with Beckett in tow. As usual, we figured it out and made to work.
