Until you are ready

"That's it, I give up! Will one of you please drive me to the nearest convent? I'm going to become a nun!" You yelled as you burst into their dorm. The twelve heads of confused boys turned and looked at you. "What are you talking about Y/N?!" Said Lay more confused than ever. "Didn't you hear Lay? She's becoming a NUN!" Said Baek, always trying to tease you. You didn't roll your eyes this time, because you actually meant it, You were done with boys, or so you wanted to believe.

It was well known that you were best friend with the 12 dorks of EXO, you were really close and even the fans saw you as part of the group, you were like the sister they all shared. How it became that way? That's a story that should be told in another occasion. What really matters is how, from hating all the male race, went to date him. Your best friend of them all.

Everything started that morning when you got a sudden call from a friend telling you she saw your boyfriend holding hands with another girl and looking more suspicious than ever. You didn't understand at the beginning but you rushed to his house to asked him what he did that morning, saying he never left the house. Liar. You thought. You knew he was hiding something from the way he was trying to close the door not letting you in. It was not until you hear a "honey" from a complete stranger that you managed to open the door, confirm what your friend said and leave him there. For good.

You didn't need any explications, you promised to yourself once that if someone did that to you, you wouldn't give him a chance. Not because he didn't deserve bit, but you didn't need the drama and the jealousy and the feeling of never trusting him completely. But that didn't mean you didn't care, that it didn't hurt. Of course it did and that's exactly why you went running to EXO's dorm. You needed more than one hug.

Hearing your story, a little bit more dramatic, half of the boys decided to go and kill the guy why the other half decided to go and make the girl disappear. They were already "planning" it making you laugh more than worry about the being serious when someone grabbed your arm and took you to his room. You didn't even have time to think when you felt how someone hugged you tight and buried his face in your neck. "I know you want to cry... You can do it here, you don't need to be strong. They won't hear. My arms will protect you."

You smelled the wooden cologne oh his shirt and realized it was no other than Xiumin. He knew you perfectly well and you didn't have to ask to get what you needed. It was as if he could read your mind. "Xiu... why does it hurt so much? I'm not even surprised, you know all the things he did.. but why does it hurt even after him being a jerk?" You knew he wasn't going to be soft on his words but that's exactly what you loved of him, his sincerity. "It's because you haven't had a good man Y/N. You need someone who protects you, someone who cares about you". He held you tighter and continued saying, pressing his lips against your skin while the tears in your eyes fell down your cheeks. "He disappointed you, you gave him your trust, so of course it hurts. But you can move on Y/N. I know you can... I'll be here to help you".

You pushed him gently away, wiped your tears away and look into his eyes. "You are a jerk too you know Xiu? I know you are happy we broke up... why can't you be selfish and make me yours already?" You confronted him. This shocked him for a moment but to your surprise he just smiled and kissed your forehead gently. "You see... I've been waiting for this, yes. But I don't want to be your way to escape your reality. I want to be the reason you come back to it. Y/N there's no doubt I'll make you mine. But I want you to take my heart without doubting, without being so hurt, I want you to be ready for all the love I'll give you. Until then, I'll be here, waiting."
