"I know you told me not to help," Your boyfriend sat next to you as you two watched the city skyline. The lights looked beautiful that night; although it made you a little sad that it might be one of the last time you saw it. "But I had to do something, jagi," Minseok sounded a little apologetic, but not regretful. "I can't let you leave,"
You sighed, you knew he was going to try something and that's why you hesitated on telling him. You didn't want him to lend you the money, you didn't want him to pay your university, even if that meant you had to go back home. "Minnie..." You turned your head and looked at him. Your eyes found his, for a moment you couldn't speak. He was so beautiful, he was an angel.
He was the best thing that ever happened to you.

"No, no, let me explain. It's not what you think," That took you by surprise, you didn't think there was another way for him to help you. He smiled and placed his hand on your cheek, stroking it with his thumb. "I was worried as hell, of course. And not just because you had to go back home. That wouldn't be a big issue, I can always come and visit. But I know you love studying here and I know how much effort you put into it," He took a few moments to take a deep breath and continue. "So I had to look for other ways to help you out. Money couldn't be the only way. And I was right, jagi" He smiled so widely, proud of what he had found. "I know you applied for many scholarships and got regretted. But I thought there had to be another way. Turns out you were applying to the wrong ones"

You didn't understand well what he was saying. He knew you were confused but he was getting there. Minseok stood up a little and took a folder he had been sitting on the whole time and handed it to you. "So I applied for you. I'm not going to lie, it was hard. But I knew that with your talents, they wouldn't have another option but choose you. So yes, it's a talent scholarship and all the requirements are there but long short story, you can stay"

Your heart was racing as you started to read the letter of acceptance. You didn't even care about the things they required of you. Of course, you needed good grades but that wouldn't be a problem. Some extra hours 'working' for the university (more like an internship). But what got your attention was the cultural activity they were going to 'sponsor'. Basically, the school was investing in your talent. Your lovely boyfriend had made sure of sending the best resume and 'portfolio' showing them of what you were capable of. You weren't just good grades, there was something you also were outstanding at. And the university seemed to love it.
"Minnie I don't even know what-"
"Don't say anything. I did it for you because if I had stayed with my arms crossed I would never be able to forgive myself,"
You felt how tears started to roll down your cheeks, tears of happiness. "I don't deserve you, Minnie," The boy embraced you and pulled you closer to him, your face burying on his chest. "Shh... you do. I'm the one who doesn't deserve you. But I'm stubborn and I don't want to let go. So you're stuck with me, jagi. For a long long time".
