Do people in fan fictions ever sleep or eat? I don't see them eat unless its a date. Do they go weeks without food? Or sleep?

Two weeks I've been running. Little to no stopping. The herd was fast, and I had no way to lose them.

There was the woods, but I had strict direction to stay here. On the road, where it was supposedly safe.

And oh, I was so tired. I hadn't slept in so long. I've been too busy running to take a break long enough to nap.
