So today was Tuesday, which meant I had to go to Harvey's house to study. I was looking forward to it but I wasn't. Maybe me meeting his parents would let me get closer to him? Hopefully.
I threw on some skinny jeans that were hugely enormous around my skinny legs, a dark green, baggy jumper and some worn away black converse. As I left, I grabbed a poptart and slung my bag over my shoulder, hoping that my mom wouldn't see me leaving with a poptart.
..'DYLAN, POPTARTS ARE BAD FOR YOU, YOU NEED SOME FRUIT IN YOUR SYSTEM!..' Kept going through my head as I literally ran out the door. What is wrong with some mothers these days?
I started walking up the hill, until I felt a drop of something hit my face. Bird shit? I brought my hand to my face and wiped the small drop off my cheek. Are you fucking serious? Don't rain on me now. I ran to a tree for shelter, as it started pelting down on me. I slumped down against the tree for a few minutes until the raining stopped.
When the rain had stopped, I pushed myself up and started walking towards school again. I could feel raindrops slide down my face from my wet hair. I shivered as I felt some go down my neck. God, I love rain but when you're out in it, not so much.
I arrived at school and took a slow, gentle walk to my tutor room, trying not to slip and die. I walked in and got noticed immediately.
"DYLAN YOU ARE SO WET! OMG!" Aaron shouted across the class, choking on his laughter. I shot him a 'shut the fuck up' look and I think he got the hint. I spotted Lacey sitting not far away from him and even she was giggling a little. Then, I saw him. He eyed me up and down, trying to hold in his shocked expression.
"Dylan, may I see you after tutor to discuss why you were late young man?" our stubborn teacher asked. I nodded and jumped as the bell rang for first period.
I stood, drenched, by the door as each student walked out past me. Lacey walked past and gently patted me on the shoulder. Such a strange girl. Then Aaron, he had tears in his eyes from laughter and I just wanted to punch him.
And then Harvey.
"You sure do look good all wet," Harvey whispered to me as he left, I stood shocked but completely overwhelmed at the same time. What am I going to do with my life?
The day went on and I had to try to ignore the fact that the most attractive boy I've ever seen, rather seductively whispered naughty things to me this morning. His voice kept playing in my mind. His words. Damn.
I definitely won't survive at his house tonight..
