"I'm sorry, sir, she is busy right now." The woman smiled at Luke. This made him even more angry, his sister was fucking locked up and she was smiling.
"How the fuck could she be busy?" He growled and ran his hands through his hair, walking down the corridor to his sister's door. He stood in front of it and debated if he wanted to even try to get in. Luke had been trying for over an hour now.
He sighed, giving up and paced up and down the hallway. Tears were threatening to spill from his eyes and his hands were sweaty.
"She needs to eat. She has to eat. Why won't she eat?" He yelled to himself, ignoring the looks some of the nurses gave him. He needed to see his sister.
He kept raging and taking long strides down the corridor. Why the fuck would she be busy? What was the point of this whole treatment if--
Luke's thoughts were cut off by a small body crashing into his, knocking them both to the ground. This day just kept on getting better and better for the gorgeous boy.
"What the hell? Watch where you're going!" Luke yelled at the girl whose face was hidden because of her hair.
She took a shaky breath and brushed her long dark hair over her shoulder. When Luke saw her eyes, he instantly felt bad for yelling at the girl. Her eyes were sad and it just looked like she was so done with everything, ready to give up. He knew this because they were exactly like his sister's eyes.
"Sorry." She coughed quietly and stood up. She offered him a hand but he didn't take it and stood up on his own, still looking at her eyes.
Luke felt sorry for the unknown girl. After a moment of staring at her, he realized it was getting weird and he shook his head quickly, looking down at his feet, "Whatever I just-- You don't happen to know Addison Hemmings, do you?"
The girl chuckled shortly, "Just talked to her for an hour, sweet girl."
"Oh my god, you have to let me see her please!" Luke begged, he was about ready to drop to his knees.
"I wouldn't be allowed to sneak you in there." She shook her head, looking down the hall at the door she had just came from. "By the way I'm Piper and if you were wondering why I was talking to Addison it's because she wouldn't eat and I was just like her."
Luke nodded, upset by the fact that his sister wouldn't eat, "I'm Addison's brother. I've been here for over an hour just trying to visit my little sister."
Luke watched as Piper squinted her eyes at him, her arms folded over her chest.
"Ah you just be Luke, the one she said she was closest with."
Luke smiled and nodded.
Piper was silent for a moment before trudging down the halls, Luke running after her. If he had any chance of seeing his sister it was because of this girl.
"Okay Addie gave me a key because we had a really heart to heart talk today and I'm going to let you inside. If you tell anyone, I will personally rip your head off, got it?" Piper whispered, looking around to make sure no one was watching.
Luke giggled softly and nodded anxiously, thanking Piper over and over.
When the door was unlocked, Piper and Luke ran in, locking the door behind them.
Addison gasped and stood up to hug her big brother. Luke wrapped his arms around her skinny waist and picked her up, relieved to see his baby sister.
Luke could see Piper behind Addie. She watched them with a small smile but her eyes were still sad. He pulled away from his best friend and Addie went over to hug Piper, thanking her for bringing Luke here.
"No problem. I'm just gonna head out." Piper looked to the ground sadly, making her way towards the door.
"No, Piper you can stay." Addison insisted.
"I don't want to interrupt your time together." She smiled softly.
"Stay." Luke breathed. Piper looked taken aback and Luke was surprised with himself. After a moment, Piper nodded and went to go tell her mom to go home.
"Hey Adds, I'm gonna go to the bathroom." Luke stood up and ruffled her hair, exiting the room.
But Luke didn't go to the bathroom.
Instead he followed Piper quietly down the narrow hall until they reached the waiting room. He didn't know why he followed her out here, he just did.
Luke watched as Piper looked around the empty waiting room, her mom no where to be seen. A small note was placed on top of the magazine and Piper picked it up.
After a moment of reading it, her jaw clenched and she ripped it in half. Luke was about to hide behind a wall but she was too fast turning around.
He had been caught.
