~ Chapter 5 ~

"GUARDS!", King Xenith shouted with full determination.

"Y-Y-Yes my lord?", the guards stuttered sounding scared as usual. I can't blame them.

"Get the window.", King Xenith said so sternly that I grabbed my stuff and ran for my life.

I had to run I couldn't disobey my Alpha's order about letting King Xenith see me.

As I was running as fast as I could, I heard one of the guards yell, "It's a she!She's over there! Target spotted!".

I could tell based on their actions that they were King Xenith's guards and were probably professionals at catching rogues and other runaways.

'Bitch can you hear me?', Alpha Cole mind-linked and let me tell you, he sounded beat up and tired.

'Y-Y-Yes Alpha', I whimpered because as I was running, a stick went up through my foot.

'Listen here you bastard, I want you to go where the waterfall is and run behind it. If you run behind it your scent will disappear and also behind the waterfall there is a dungeon with food and everything you little bitch ass may need so stay there for two weeks until King Xenith's visit is over, you hear me?', Alpha Cole coughed out.

'Yes Alpha.', I whispered, 'But what about school?'

'I'll send my son for that and don't think that you're off the hook from all your beatings eh?', he said, smugly.

'No sir Alpha', I replied sadly.

'Now go do as I say and I'll give you a special visit on Saturday.', and with that, he cut off the connection.

From a distance away I could still hear the guards shouting for me to stop. Since I didn't have my wolf, I couldn't obey a command or mind link anyone except my Alpha since he was the one who took my wolf away.

As I was dodging trees and rocks to avoid getting any more injuries, I spotted the waterfall where I always took my bath. After going around the waterfall, I went behind it with my scent disappearing as I passed it.

"It's too dark out here and where the fuck is she?", a guard questioned.

"I don't know but what I do know is that if we don't get what King Xenith wants a punishment is what we'll get!", the other guard yelled frantically.

"Look!! I think she's over there behind that waterfall!", the guard shouted snapping me out of my daydreaming.

Behind the waterfall, there is only one way out which is the way you come in, so I'm guessing that's the reason why the guards are coming at a slow pace towards the area I'm at.

If you go directly or swim under the waterfall, it's considered a death shot because the power of the waterfall is very mighty and strong and the force of it could kill you if you stay under it for too long and it seemed like the guards knew that.

I needed to think fast because the guards are coming closer. As I was looking around I found a heavy stone that I could plop into the waterfall which would make the guards think that I had dove into the waterfall.

As I went to go pick up the stone I didn't notice that bats were on top of it eating. The good thing that came out of this was that the bats were able to distract the guards and the bad thing was that one of the bats bit me, I just hoped that it wasn't a venomous one.

When I looked up at the guards I saw that they were too busy trying to shoo away the bats so I used, this time, to push the rock into the water.

Plop!
