Cara.

Black and orange balloons were sticked on the school's entrance, for non other festivity than Halloween. I do admit with everything that has happened I wasn't really in the mood for cheap candy and costumes.

But after all, I am still Emily's best friend, so one of my many duties as a friend is to be with her on Halloween, or so she says. Even though we didn't any idea of what we were going to do tonight, we were already at the shop searching for costumes.

"What about this one?" Emily asked lifting up a witch costume.

"Too ordinary," I replied as I kept looking through the racks.

My phone started ringing, and I took it out of my cross body bag. I accepted the call, and brought the phone to my ear.

"Hello?"

"Hi Cara!" Hayes greeted.

"What's up?" I said, while I looked at different costumes.

"Well Zac is throwing Saints and Sinners party tonight, and I was wondering if you wanted to come?" he asked.

"Sure, can I bring Emily? I promised I would be with her this Halloween," I mumbled looking at a devil costume.

"I think Trevor is going to ask her but okay."

"Great I'll see you there then!" I said and hung up the phone.

I looked at Em, and called out her name. "Em, find an angel costume. You are going as a Saint."

I grabbed the devil costume, and threw it inside the basket. I walked to Emily and linked my arm with hers as we both went to the cashier.

We payed for our costumes, and went to Panera, where we were going to meet our moms.

The doors automatically opened and the smell of fresh bread and coffee welcomed us in. Francesca and my mom sat in the very back booth.

I sat next to my mom and gave her a small side hug. "How was costume shopping?"

"It was good," I said carrying on the good. "So Hayes invited me and Emily to this party Zac is throwing."

"And you want to go?" I nodded. "I don't know somehow everything bad happens when you're with Hayes."

"But mom..." I complained and tugged on her arm like a three year old.

"Okay, but as long as you're always with someone."

"Thanks mom! I promise I'll be good," I thanked and hugged her.

"I think we should take the girls home," Francesca suggested, as Emily and her started to slide out of the booth.

"Yeah we should," I said and slid out.

"Em, you probably look perfect," I said while applying red lipstick.

"I look fat!" She complained still on the bathroom.

"If you say that one more time, I am going to punch you," I shouted and applied another coat of mascara.

"Fine I'm coming out," she stated and I heard the door open.

Emily looked beautiful in that angel costume. It was white, obviously, with ruffles and spaghetti straps; two medium sized wings were strapped on her back, and a little white bow on her head.

"Em you look beautiful!" I complimented, and hugged her. "Trevor is going to go crazy when he sees you in this."

"Thank you, and you look beautiful too," she complimented back.

I guess I looked okay. The costume was a red puffy dress with the little horn headband. I had black vans and just a little bit of make up.

"Thanks," I said and put my phone in my cross body.

"Let's go Fabian is here," she replied and we downstairs and out the door.

Fabian was Trevor's older brother, also the one who was taking us to the party. Usually Nash would be taking us to parties, but he's under some very difficult circumstances.

We got in the car, and I took a seat next to Hayes; Trevor was shotgun, and Emily next to me. I gave Hayes and Trevor a friendly kiss on the cheek, and ignored Fabian like always.

"Hi Cara, how are you?" Fabian asked, but I kept my mouth shut. I never liked him and I never will. "Giving me the silent treatment?"

Once again I kept quiet, and ignored him. Can this guy take the hint that I loathe him?

"Fabian, just leave her alone," Trevor murmured turning the music up.

"Fine, I won't bother her," he said.

After a few minutes the car stopped and the music was heard. People dressed in white were outside and people in red and black were inside.

We all stepped out of the car, and started walking towards Zac's house. Talk Dirty was blaring through the several speakers around the house, while many bodies were grinding against each other. It was not until we were under light that I could see what color Hayes had.

"Black, huh? I'm guessing you're a Sinner?" I questioned fixing his collar.

"Red? I guess you're a Sinner too?" he retorted back. "What sin have you committed?"

"None of those holy ones, but if making out with my ex counts?" I said, and pressed my back against his chest. "And dancing with him."

We started swaying our hips side to side, moving to the beat of the song. I felt Hayes move my hair to the side and lean in closer to my ear. I got goosebumps when I felt his breath against my neck, and his arms around me.

"Talk dirty to me," he whispered, and spun me around. "Kiss me?"

I don't know what came over me, but I obeyed his orders and stood on my tip toes. He lowered himself a little, before smashing his lips onto mine. Our lips moved in sync, somehow everything stopped and we were the only ones there, clique, I know.

I don't know why and I don't know how, but I know this is the start of something.
