Cara.
"Mom we just can move," I argued, slamming my hands on the kitchen counter.
My mom came by earlier to tell me that I had to move with her to Florida. Florida had one of the best mental/ anger hospitals in the country, and they're apparently taking Cameron there. Of course once they find him.
I'm actually pretty scared. What if next time instead of sending a warning shot, he'll actually kill someone; kill me, or Hayes. I just wish the police will get a hold of him already, but we all know how police departments work. They say they'll do something and they don't.
"Honey, we don't have a choice," she replied. "The deputy said that they were one step closer to finding Cameron."
I sighed, "I still don't want to go, Mom!"
"Cara Megan Dallas, I am your mother," she started. "And you'll do as I say."
"Can't I live with Emily?" I asked.
"I already asked them, but Franchesca said that the baby is making everything complicated."
"She can stay here," Elizabeth suddenly said. "With Will and all of his stuff gone, we have a spare room."
"I don't know, that's too much," my mom said, crossing her arms over her chest.
"Cara is practically part of the family," Nash said walking down the stairs.
"Please mom," I pleaded throwing myself to my knees.
"I don't know Cara."
"Ms. Dallas please," Hayes muttered.
"She can sleep in the guest room, will make it her own," Elizabeth said.
My mom sighed, but remained quiet. She looked deep in thought; ever since I was little my mom would stare up, and swing back and forth when she was thinking. I was slowly growing desperate by the minute, everyone was.
"Well, I guess you can stay," my mom finally said. I ran to hug her, but ehn she pulled away and said, "but only if you promise to call everyday "
"Thank you mom, and of course I will," I replied and hugged her again.
"Ok, so how about we start packing your stuff?" Elizabeth said a little bit over excited.
"Ok," I muttered, and smiled.
A part of me is saying that I should go with my mom; just to keep her company and give her support. But another one was telling me that I shouldn't go; no reason actually it just gives me a bad vibe.
Me and Hayes went upstairs to change, as my usual sheepish self, I pushed Hayes out of the bathroom so I could change to the clothes my mom brought me.
After I was done with everything, I walked out to find Hayes already dressed on a red shirt and black shorts. I signaled him to follow me down stairs, and he did as so.
My house was full with furniture, but it felt like it was empty. There was something missing, nothing made of mass, but something different; like emotionally. It's been like that for a while, but now I can feel it more than ever.
I went upstairs to my room, and it felt just as empty. Hayes walked in with some box stacked on one another, and then settled them in my bed.
"Ready to start packing?" I asked him as I took one box from the stack.
He took one and said, "We shall start."
***
After six boxes, and four bottles of water; we had packed my room. We were know sitting on my bed, I was with my head to the side of the bed, and he was playing with my hair.
"I can't believe we're living together," I heard him mutter.
"Yeah."
"We should take the boxes to my house," Hayes said, and helped me up.
We started taking box by box, with the help of my mom and Elizabeth we were done in fifteen minutes. Now the only thing I need to go was unpack; which I was not planning on doing today. It was about 10:30 pm when we were done, so we decided to call it a night.
I went to what I guess was now going to be my room, and changed into some pjs. I brushed my teeth, and washed my face before applying my night cream. I looked horrid with my night cream on, I looked like that Grumpy Cat, but all white.
I heard a knock on my door, and I responded the usual, "Come in."
"Care?" Hayes whispered as I heard his footsteps approaching.
"In the bathroom."
I had left the door open since I wasn't doing that kind of business. I started doing a bun on my hair as the door opened a little bit more for an unplesant surprise.
"Oh my god, Hayes! Cover that shit right now!" I shouted tossing hima towel so he could wrap it around his area. I covered my eyes, but the image of his friend burned my mind.
"I usually sleep like this so, get used to it," he said. "You can look now."
I uncovered my eyes, and then slapped Hayes arm. "What's up?"
"I just wanted to say goodnight," he mumbled and hugged me.
"Night."
He walked away, but just before leaving he turned around and asked, "Are you sure you don't want it?"
"Get out!"
I finished my bun sticking some strands of hair on my pulled up hair. I heard the door open again, and I sighed.
"I'm sure I don't want it Hayes, so you can leave now," I said laughing.
I waited to hear Hayes' stupid response, but nothing was heard. "Hayes?"
I heard louder footsteps approaching as I looked at the mirror waiting for whomever was going to open that door. I saw a quick flash of a face, before a white cloth was slapped on my face. I stupidly smelled the intoxicating substance. I felt my legs losing balance as I felt to the floor. My vision was already fading, but I could still make out the face.
"I never recall my name being Hayes."
Then everything went black.
