In the End

Ronnie's POV:

When the Alpha came in, Craig was fast asleep in my arms. She smiled, tilting her head down as she looked over to us.

"You wanted to see me, Ronnie Radke?" She said, a little above a whisper.

"Yes," I began. "Has there been any new updates on what the vampires are doing?"

"Not yet." She replied, her smile fading as she noticed something. Probably the scars from where the sun had burned me. "Tell me, Ronnie, what happened? Out in the courtyard."

"I just want Craig to be safe. And the only way to do that is for me to die."

"That is never the way to protect someone you love."

"The Queen won't stop until either I die, or Craig is turned into one of them." I look down at Craig, who was now cuddling up even closer to my stomach.

"Then we'll just have to get to her first." The Alpha placed her hand on my shoulder as a way of reassuring me that things would be okay.

"We have a serious problem!" Sasha yelled as she burst through the door. This made her mother jump off the bed. I gently shook Craig's shoulder as he slowly woke up.

"Are they..." I began, not wanting to finish my sentence.

"Yes," Sasha said, frantically. She and The Alpha rushed out of the room, leaving Craig and I alone.

"Ronnie, what are we gonna do?" Craig asked, I could sense the fear in his voice.

"Stay here, Craig." I reply, demandingly. "I'll figure something out." With that, I left the room. Running down the dimly lit hallways, I start to hear the screams and howls of the Lykens. I was almost to the main hall when I was confronted by an old friend. Jacky.

"You need to get out of here." He whispered. "The Queen will kill you."

"That's what I'm hoping for." Pushing past the small British boy, I enter the main hall, only to be greeted with the sight of Lyken and vampire alike fighting to the death. I soon spot the Queen, grabbing Sasha by the throat. She lifted the pink haired girl off the ground, proceeding to raising her arm to tear the poor girl's heart out. "HEY!" I shout, loud as I can. The Queen looks over to me, dropping a thankfully unharmed Sasha. I run over to my Queen, tearing open my shirt to revel my bare chest. The battle had stopped for the time being. "Take me, not her."

"What the hell do you think you're doing, Radke?" The Queen hissed. I caught glimpse of the Alpha behind her, baring a dagger. "ANSWER ME!"

"I just wanted to protect Craig." I said, trying to distract her. She looked at me, confused. "I love him. Did you ever stop to think how you would feel if your lover was torn away from you, only to be turned into something hideous?" I could feel the Queen's anger growing stronger. "But, then again, you did kill your own daughter." I could hear gasps of disbelief from both sides.

"Hush down, Radke!" The Queen hissed once more.

"You started this war between vampire and Lyken. And then lied to us all about them making the first move. All because your own child was pregnant with a Lyken's child." Just before the Queen had the chance to attack, The Alpha turned her around by the shoulder, stabbing her in the heart. The Queen, without saying a word, slowly turned to nothing but ashes, falling to the ground. The war was over.

"Ronnie?" I heard Craig say from behind. I turn around, only to find him standing in the doorway. Running over to him, I held him tight as I could hear cheering coming from both Lyken and vampire. Gently grabbing Craig's face, I roughly kiss him on his lips. All was well again.
