Craig's POV:
"There's been an attack on the Northern pack!" I heard a voice shout from down the hall.
"Ronnie, what's going on?" I asked, lifting my head off the pillow. I was still tired as I hadn't gotten any sleep the night before.
"The Queen must've sent the attack earlier then I thought." Ronnie said, frantically. "It's only Friday! Oh, God, what are we gonna do?"
"Babe, it's going to be ok." I tried to reassure him. I could see the fear in his eyes.
"No. No, Craig, you don't understand. This is the Alpha fucking Lykan we're talking about. She'll have my fucking head if she thinks I lied about the date!"
"Ronnie, I-" I was cut off by someone bursting through the door.
"You were right and wrong, vampire. The Alpha wants to see you." he said in a cold voice.
"Did the message get to the Northern pack in time?" I asked, scared shitless.
"It did. But that doesn't change that the Alpha wants to see your fucking vampire!"
"I love you, Craig." Ronnie said as he turned to me, fear and tears in his eyes. "No matter what happens, always remember that."
"I love you, too, Ronnie." I said as a tear started to slip out of my eye. With that, Ronnie left the room. I began to silently sob into my knees as I pulled them up to my chest. I knew I was never going to see him again.
