To dance is human, and to love divine...
Cass had always wanted to fall in love. And as she walks the smoky corridor she is pretty sure she is in a dream. Misty forms shift and take shape. A sea of people on either side materialize and seem to be cheering. They are applauding her. She continues down the hallway as almost recognizable faces blaze past. She waves nervously. The hall is elaborate and seems like some sort of fairytale palace. Confetti and party accessories abound. What is happening? Everyone is dressed to the nines. Up ahead are great elaborate doors that reach towards the roof. She has the sense that a mystery, a grand something is beyond those doors. She picks up the pace towards it. Something is compelling her forwards, a vague sense of urgency begins to overtake her. The hallway seems endless — why isn't she making any progress?
The doors seem forever beyond her. A realization hits her like a bolt of lightning, her true love is beyond the doors! He is waiting for her! He needs help! She grips the ring on her necklace for comfort and begins to run. A man with a kind face and fierce green eyes beckons "Run Cass! You are stronger than you know! Don't give up!" Desperately she sprints towards the doors which seems to be no closer. In vain she runs but like a mirage she never reaches her destination. "Run!" the man yells in the distance. The fog begins to lift as she keeps trying to reach the door. No, I must reach him, I need to reach him!
She can fill his presence beyond the door. His name is on the tip of her tongue. What was it? It seems embedded deep within the recesses of her brain, her heart, but she can't articulate it. Something tells her that they haven't met yet in the real world but that they would someday. She has the feeling that a great and dangerous adventure awaits her and that he has an important part to play; and that he was destined to be her one true love...
