Cass is still in a state of shock. Once she is subdued the guards are a little more gentle with her. They are perhaps a little embarrassed a lone girl could cause so much ruckus. She looks down at her knuckles which are now red and raw. Her heart is broken and she is frantic. At one moment she is the happiest she has ever been in her life, but in the next everything is torn asunder. The guards begin leading her somewhere and she offers no resistance. The fight has gone out of her. Her thoughts race and she is too overwhelmed by everything that has occurred to process things. Ivory columns pass as they lead her onward like a jeering mausoleum.
Her throat feels like sandpaper and she feels like death. She yearns for T and his touch. Inside silently she vows to herself that she will do whatever is necessary to be with him. She is going to rescue him no matter what. They lead her to a new room and shove her in. The door closes with a thunderous roar. So... This is all pretty horrible. This room was much smaller than the one she and T have been staying in and seems to be used for storing random chairs and furniture. She senses that she doesn't have much time and they only put her in here for the time being. But first she needs to collect herself. She throws herself on the bed and breathes deeply. She had long ago learned the benefits of meditation and it made huge improvements in combating her anxiety. Cass reflects on all that has happened.
Floods of happy love memories of T rush at her all at once. If nothing else at she at least got to spend these past few weeks (or was it months?) with him. She had never known such happiness. She supposed it couldn't last forever without a few snafus. But she'd be damned if she lets things end like this. She quickly took inventory of the room and made note of possible escape routes. She could perhaps bludgeon the door open. If she found something sharp then she could secretly cut a hole into one of the walls. The ceiling looked a little high but if she could somehow get up there she might be able to dislodge the ceiling tiles and crawl into one of the ventilation shafts or whatever was up there. For the time being she would bide her time and plan her escape.
