"Um no. Why would you think that?" I asked nervously.
"Because I saw you running away," Robert replied.
"I was running away because the fire alarm went off and it scared me. Now get you stupid big head off of me," I said pushing him away.
Then I realized that his whole body was completely dry. Leila's body was soaking wet the last time I saw her. Is that why Robert got so upset because he thought (which I did) set off the fire alarm. Only a flame could set it off. He suspected that I had powers. He's the one who was supposed to die.
-
Right away I told Rosie, Ella, Hayden, and Brad about Robert. Rosie and Brad were the only ones who actually believed me. The others just said that I was crazy. Laugh all they want but they won't be laughing when Robert tries to kill them.
-
I changed my appearance to Leila so I could convince Robert about telling me about his powers. I saw Robert coming around the corner.
"Okay, I can do this," I whispered to myself. "Hi Robert."
"Don't you usually call me Ro?" Robert said.
"Oh I know. It was just a change of plans," I said.
"Ha! You never called me Ro! I could tell it's you, Arabella. You're not the only one with shape shifting powers," Robert exclaimed. "You think you're so clever, but I can tell it's you. Well guess what, only I will be able to take over the world. Thanks to that haunted house. And once I kill you, you'll be out of my way. How about I start that right now," Robert said.
I quickly grabbed the fire extinguisher after getting thousands of broken glass in my hand. I hit Robert's head with it as he fell to the ground. I quickly ran away from the scene with the fire extinguisher in my hands. I sprinted from the school as fast as I could. I passed by Ella, Rosie, Hayden, and Brad.
"No time to explain. Quickly! Follow me," I said. All four of them started running without arguing. Together we went, heading into the woods.
