Rosie's POV
"BRAD DID WHAT?!?"
"Brad tried to kiss me," Arabella said. I couldn't believe my ears. That stupid player tried to kiss my best friend.
If I hate him so much, then why is he still with us? Well, he's all we have left. We need his powers, and I don't know what will happen when all of this is over. When will all of this be over? Will it ever?
Ugh, Brad can be such an ugly mess sometimes. He always tried to impress girls saying that he speaks Italian or Russian. When he gets desperate, he starts singing.
How do I know this? Well, he has done it to both Arabella and I a couple years back during summer. But anyways, I don't want him touching my best friend.
This morning, Arabella and I were talking about how Brad tells all of the girls that he speaks different languages and other lies. Sometimes Brad can be in a thorn in the butt.
"I can't believe he did that! Did you let him?" I asked quickly.
"Of course not!" Arabella said with disgust on her face. "Just don't make it obvious that I told you about it when he walks in, okay?"
"Okay, but if he tries win you over just to break your heart, I'll break his nose."
I saw Brad climbing up the ladder so I quickly ran into the room I share with Arabella. Our room is beautfiul. The wooden floorings look rustic and modern, while the walls are covered in different types of flowers that glow. The ceiling opens up at night and then closes when the sun starts to come out (a little trick of mine). The beds are made of soft cotton and the warm is always warm. Our swords are hanging on the wall, looking newer and newer everyday.
I braided my long, wavy, and blonde hair so I don't have to brush it in the morning. I jumped in my bed and fell asleep instantly, with a nightmare following it shortly.
-
I was in the haunted house again. It was very difficult to see, but then light appeared. Across the room, a chair was turned backwards.
"Nice to see you again," the thing in the chair said. It turned around and I saw the scariest doll on earth.
It had painted blood red checks and the eyes were big and never blinked. I held back a scream.
"I am a very powerful spirit. I have the ability to curse anything I want, but it's limited. When all of my power vanishes, I reborn into a living thing. If you take the doll I'm stuck in right now, you can force all of the power out of me. Robert wants more power and he is trying to find me. Somehow he knows. Stop him before he finds me," the doll said.
"So...why don't you just vanish?" I asked.
"I can't. I'm always in the haunted house. You can only see it when it's Halloween week. Mostly on Halloween, otherwise you need a reason to see the house," the doll said.
"But that's not until October. That's for another 11 months!" I said to the spirit.
"I'll tell you this. He is growing stronger. Robert is learning how to summon the house. He can only do it when the moon is full. Now get out of my house child!" the doll hissed.
With that, I fell through the ground and woke up with a start.
