I could see Robert's gelled hair in the shadows. This is it. We could die tonight.
We all looked at each other seriously. I then pulled Ella and Rosie into a hug. Hayden and Brad joined in slowly.
"If we die tonight, just remember that I'm glad I died with you," I said tears streaming down my face.
We all walked out of the motel and into the streets. I could hear everyone's heart pounding.
The haunted house shimmered int the distance, the full moon's light shinning right on it. We quickly ran into the house right after Robert did.
The house was exactly the same. But there was no fear this time.
I could see Hayden gripping Ella's hand. The house was very silent, but it was difficult to hear Robert's foot steps.
The thing is, the house is a maze. I know where the doll is, thanks to my dreams, but Robert does not. This is an advantage I'm going to take.
I led them up a staircase that was hidden behind a book shelf. I took more hidden staircases until I was up in the attic. I was seconds from taking the doll when-
"Well well. What do we have here?" Robert asked.
We all took out our swords at the same time.
"There's no need for that. Just step aside, give me the doll, and no one gets hurt," Robert said.
"I will never believe ANYTHING you say! You're just a filthy liar!" Rosie screamed.
"Well because you asked for it-" and within a swipe with his fingers, everyone was pushed against the wall. Obviously they were in pain from whatever Robert was doing to them. I, however, created some ice to my feet to weigh me down, so I wasn't affected by it.
"Very smart move. I wouldn't have thought of it," Robert said. I tried to freeze him while he was talking but he deflected it. I guess he practiced.
I swung at him with my sword but he was able to to use his hands like a magnet and capture my sword. With all of my strength, I attempted to throw some fire at him but he was able to dodge it. He then hit me with some snow and knelled down next to me. I felt so weak. My friends were screaming from pain, their yells echoing in my ears.
Robert took out my sword and sliced my whole arm open. I could feel myself leaving my body, my whole world fading.
But I thought of my friends. They are slowly dying as well, and I can't let that happen. Thinking of them made me feel more powerful.
I stood up with my heart racing in my ears. I came eye to eye with him as his evil laugh filled the room. My friends are being tortured, helpless to my defense. All of this was happened because of me. My anger allowed the energy for me to ball up my fists, using every single power I own to aim at one person.
Robert got hit by it, for he was not expecting it. He took a second to get back up, and within that second, I grabbed the doll and burned it to ashes.
Powerful wind started to circle us and I could feel the air getting stronger and stronger. Then it stopped at once.
Rosie, Ella, Hayden, and Brad all fell to the ground with a thud. My vision was blurry and slowly fading.
"What have you done?" Robert's voice echoed through my ears. I then fell to the ground, my eye sight turning black.
