Hiccups POV

It was late, I opened my house door and saw my father sitting down in front of Fire. I tried sneaking in but failed when my dad called "Hiccup..." he said, "Uh, dad, I have to talk to you" I Said as he stood up "I have to talk to you too, son" and walked to me as I waited for him on the stairs. We both took in a deep breath and said at the same time "I've decided I don't wanna hunt dragons/ I think its time you learn how to hunt dragons" we both looked at each other "What?", "You go first" he said "No, you go first" I said as he nodded and began to speak "I've decided, since all the other kids are going to hunt dragons, its best if I give you a chance to hunt dragons" he said, my eyes shrank "Oh man, I should have gone first. Uhhhh, cause I was thinking, you know, since all the big strong kids are off dragon hunting, and I'm small, I can you a small home repair Viking or a bread making Vikings -" I was cut off when my dad gave me a sword "You'll need this" he said, the sword almost made me fall, it was heavy but I kept my balance, I looked up at him "Dad, I don't want to hunt dragons" I said "Come on, yes you do!" he replied "Re-phrase. Dad, I cant kill dragons" I said, trying to reason with him, but he wouldn't listen "But you will kill dragons," he said "No, I'm really extra sure I won't," I said, "It's time Hiccup," he said all serious "Can you not hear me?!" I asked "This, is serious son! When you carry this sword, you carry us with you. Which means, you walk like us, you talk like us and you think like us. No more of....this" he said gesturing to all of me "You just gestured to all of me," I said, "Deal," he said "This conversation is feeling very one-sided" I reply "DEAL!?" he asked, I sigh in defeat "Deal" I mumble "Good. Train hard, I have a village to fix up" he said as he left to fix the remaining damage from the raid. I groaned and waved at Fire before going to my room, I placed the sword so it was leaning on the wall, I fall into bed. I hate this, every 10 years the kids who are 10, 9 or 8 go out for dragon hunting, its where you learn to hunt and track down dragons. Gobber is the teacher for that but also does dragon training for the teenagers, which I hope I don't get put into. I tuck myself in, I said goodnight to all of my friends before closing my eyes, thinking about dragon hunting and that.....that Night Fury and before I know it, darkness took over.

(This is a short chapter, I'm sorry. Goodbye my wolf pack, for now)
