A/N: So I thought I'd just make the titles of these first two chapters The Accident as it sums up a lot. This is a whole arc that will be a few chapters. The next story arc will feature the Red Balloon. Hope you enjoy this one for now :)

That's when Beverly dropped her glass of water. The liquid soaking into his carpet. Her blood curdling scream heard through the house. The stop of Bill's moms piano and the screech of brakes. Only then did Bill see the headlights. Those two bright, burning headlights. Peering into his soul.
Rushing down the steps Bill's mom stopped her. "What's wrong?! Your scream scared the life out of me!" All Beverly could manage was his name. Which she hope she could still use to his face.
Ripping the door open she saw a boy sprawled across the concrete. Silver was destroyed lying next to him. But her focus was on the broken body. Beverly and his mom rushed over as the driver stepped out, hands running through his hair. "Shit! Shit! Shit!" He just kept yelling and dialed 911 immediately.
Bill lifted his head up, blood spilling out of his mouth. "It hurts! I can't! I can't move my leg!" His left leg was bent awkwardly. Not bent at the knee. It was the shin. Blood spilling out and the bone very visible. His arm was obviously broken as well.
"Bill! Bill an ambulance is coming! Stay with us!" His mom kept calling to him as Beverly failed to find words to say. She was sobbing and tears were all over her face. "Bi...ll. Don't... please. D-d-don't go..." Bill tried looking at them but his vision was going all dark. "Mom?! Beverly?! Say something!"
Bill's mom was shouting that everything was okay and he just looked in horror as their mouths moved. "I can't... I can't hear. Mom I can't hear! MOM! Say something! Beverly help me! Please help me! I need..." His eyes went wide and then closed and he let his head fall back against the floor.
The sirens could be heard in the distance and the man who hit Bill was on the ground with his head in his hands. Just muttering about how he's 'sorry' and he 'never saw him.' Beverly saw the ambulance pull up and they immediately brought out a stretcher. Bill was lifted onto it and Beverly and Bill's mom were put into it as well to ride to the hospital.
"He couldn't hear us! Mrs. Denbrough, he couldn't hear us!" Bill's mom held her close, both sobbing the entire ride there.
Bill was rushed through the building and doctors were met quickly with him as they ran through the hospital. Bill's mom and Beverly hot on their tail.
After hours in the waiting room, the doctor working on Bill came out to them. "If you want to see him, you may. But, there is some news I'd like to inform you about." Beverly and his mom were relieved about him being alive but were very worried about what could be wrong. "He was slipping in and out of consciousness and he may be in a coma as we speak. We are not sure how long he will be like this. He also has deafness in both ears but don't let that discourage you. He could regain it after much healing over time."
Beverly and his mom stood. Holding each other and slowly walking over towards his door. Opening it they saw Bill's almost lifeless body laying in the bed. Machines hooked up to him and his left arm and leg in casts. Once again crying. They took seats on opposites sides of him. "I'll tell you more later, I'll let you stay for a little while." He stepped out of the room and closed the door.
The two stayed there for hours until the doctor came back in and informed them that his arm would be in a cast for a while but his leg was able to be put together and is not as bad as it had seemed at the accident.
Next came a knock and the man who hit Bill came in. Red in the eyes he looked at Bill's body. "I can't even tell you how sorry I am. He just came out on his bike. I'm so sorry!" He looked down and as much as Bill's mom was mad at the speed he was going back then, she couldn't help but feel sorry. She went over and comforted him.
Beverly had been holding Bill's good hand and brushing his face occasionally. Don't leave me here, Bill... She put her head down into her free hand and sobbed more. She couldn't stopped these tears. Then she felt something brush her hand.
Looking up she saw Bill's thumb barely moving to rub her hand. "Mrs. Denbrough! He's moving!" She ran over and saw his movement. His eyes slowly opened. Adjusting to the bright light. He still thought it was the headlights and slammed them shut. But when nothing happened he looked around. The room was dead silent.
He looked right at Beverly. He smiled and realized his left side felt stiff. His gut was killing him and the IV in his harm hurt more than anything. "Bev?" He felt the vibration in his throat but no sound was working. "Buh-bev?! Mom?! P-p-p-please don't do this to muh-me!" They didn't think he knew he was yelling and tears ran down his cheeks. Beverly heard him mutter something. "Stuttering D-deaf Bill..."
The doctor moved over with a paper. All typed and explaining everything that happened to him. He cried harder and went silent. Grabbing a pen and struggling to write. How long? Bill's mom took the paper and wrote, We don't know. It could heal. Not being able to take this anymore and she stepped out of the room. Bill stared after her and then turned to Beverly. He stared into the ocean that was her eyes. More water than usual. But she reassured him with that look. It said everything, we'll be okay.
