Bill had made his way back into the house and lied his way through dinner about his time with the Losers' club. As they went upstairs Bill started to step into his room but Beverly grabbed his hand. "Bill? Please..."
He turned to hers and he could see tears in her eyes. "S-still seeing t-them?" She just nodded so he continued, "There d-d-doesn't need to be a reason for me to sleep there. Just p-permission." He grinned widely. She blushed and led him in.
Beverly crawled into her bed with only a shirt and underwear and Bill in a shirt and boxers. He faced outwards and felt Beverly's arms wrap around his chest. "You know," he turned so she could lay on his chest, "You c-could always say 'Hey Bill, L-let's cuddle.' Instead of just attacking me from behind."
"You know you liked it." She said softly. She was drifting into deep sleep. "Yeah... I did..." Beverly grinned before falling asleep.
Morning came and Beverly was the first to rise. She thought it was time for Bill to wake up after playing with his hair for about half an hour. She lifted herself up and straddled Bill. Planting a kiss on his lips as he woke up. "W-wow Beverly. Quite the v-view." He grinned.
Beverly looked down and saw that her shirt... no, Bill's shirt... was way to big. Her shoulder was showing a lot from the collar. The shirt was long and almost halfway down her thighs.
"Sorry. I'm a mess..." He pushed her down as she had been climbing off him and he held himself over her. "I think y-you look amazing." He pecked her cheek but she hungrily went for his lips and neck. "No, no, n-no Bev. The Losers are m-meeting up soon." Beverly sighed. "C'mon Bill. Pleaseee?" He smiled but got out of bed. "L-lets go."
Going over to Richie's house was quite amazing for Beverly but difficult for Bill. Beverly had been tickling Bill the entire time as he groaned for trying to keep the bike straight. Reaching his house, the other Losers' showed up. "Bill?" He turned and saw where her gaze was. Ben was there. "It's f-fine." She grabbed his hand and they all went inside.
Reaching Richie's basement, there was music, food and drinks. Everyone was enjoying themselves. Richie kept jumping on Eddie's back as Eddie cried about some made up disease that broke your back. Mike was telling Stanley about some new farm animals he just got and Stanley actually seemed interested. Ben was picking the music. Ben looked up to see Bill and Beverly talking.
He caught a little bit. Bill didn't want to do something, Beverly was trying to make him. Bill held her hand and then went to Richie. Beverly whispered after him, "Try talking to him later." Ben knew it was about him.
"Hey Bill!" Richie said as he had Eddie pinned to the ground. "Hey Bill!" Eddie called up. "H-hey guys. W-what's up?"
"Spring cleaning." Richie grinned.
"It's the end of summer!" Eddie cried out, only making Richie laugh. "So, how's Beverly?" Richie winked. "W-what do you m-mean?"
"She's living in your house, old sport." He was doing a fancy accent. "Must've done something quite interesting, eh?"
"N-no. Nothing l-like that. N-no. N-not at all." Richie climbed off Eddie and ran to get a drink. Eddie got up. "I swear, next time he does that..."
"N-next time he does it, y-you'll be on the f-floor again." Bill laughed and Eddie began to smile again. Beverly headed over to Mike and Stanley. "Hey guys, what are you up to?"
"Just talking before the movie. Hopefully it's something actually good and not Star Wars. We've watched it the past 5 hangouts." Stan nodded in agreement to Mike.
"I've always liked it but I understand." She looked back at Ben as Mike continued describing his discomfort about Richie's movies.
Ben was still looking through music and Beverly sat down next to him. "Hey Ben."
"Oh, Hi Beverly." It was quiet for a second before Beverly spoke up. "I'm sorry about the other day. You really are a sweet guy Ben."
"No, no. It's fine. I was way out of line. Of course you'd pick him. Stuttering Bill." He whispered the last part.
"There it is again. Don't say that! You know how he gets. Please stop." She was starting to get angry. That's when a hand was on her shoulder. She turned expecting to see Bill but it was Richie. "Ben. We've already talked. Remember what I said." He wasn't making any jokes or smiling or anything. He was very stern. Ben nodded and went to the bathroom. "Richie what was that?"
"I found out what happened and decided to give him a talk." He just shrugged and went to the drink table to grab a bottle. "Who's up for it?!" Richie yelled. Everyone looked over, even Ben who was out of the bathroom. They all had confused looks. "Spin the bottle you wankers!" Richie said in a bad British accent. They all laughed and huddled around.
Beverly sat close to Bill who was obviously nervous. "Who's first?" Stanley asked. "Also we all realize we are most likely kissing a guy." The sudden realization hit everyone and they laughed. "I swear, I'm not kissing one of you Losers!" Eddie yelled while laughing. Richie spun and landed on Eddie. "What are the odds. Don't worry Eddie, I'm not a loser."
Richie leaned over and pecked Eddie who started screaming. "Gross! Gross! Gross!" Ben then spun and landed on Beverly. "Uh, no. No. I think I'll pass." She was trying to get out of this. "Won't be that bad. I don't have a disease." He said as he leaned over and their lips connected.
Bill who was close to Beverly got tense but felt Beverly's hand grip his. He began kissing her, more than a peck, I mean. He leaned back, "Your turn, Bill." He said slyly. "Y-yeah. Actually I'm q-quite sick. I n-need fresh air. K-keep going." He stood up and made his way upstairs and onto Richie's porch.
"I'm going to check on him." Beverly mentioned and when upstairs as everyone, except Ben, made smooching noises. Beverly found Bill outside saying his famous lines to calm him down. "Bill, it was just a game. You know I didn't want to." He looked up at her and smiled. "It's n-not that. J-just didn't want to p-play."
Beverly leaned on the railing next to him, grabbing his hand. They stayed like that for a little while but Bill was still shaking. "Bill. We should head in soon, can you handle it?" He just shook his head. Pulling a pack out of her back pocket.
"I know you don't like it... maybe it could help you too though..." Bill looked at the cigarettes but decided it may help him. "L-let's try it." He took the cigarette from her hand and she lit it for him and he pulled from it. Blowing it out and handing it to her, he began coughing. "The rebel Bill. I think I kind of like it." She pulled from it and knocked off the ashes.
Blushing he took it from her and kissed her before using it again. "Let's go." He said to her. She put it out and slipped it away as they walked into the house. Bill sat on the floor and leaned against the couch.
Richie had started the movie E.T. None of them have seen it before. Beverly sat down in front of Bill, much to his surprise. His legs were on either side and she leaned against his chest. Grabbing his hands and wrapping them around herself.
Beverly noticed that Ben was no where to be found about halfway through the movie. She looked at Richie and he knew they'd have to tell them. Pausing the movie Richie looked at everyone. "Ben has left. We all know how he feels about Beverly. But it was too much. Ben is done. He's out of the Losers' Club." He patted his hands on his pants and rocked on his heels. "But, this is Ben!" Beverly yelled.
Stan jumped in too. "Beverly, are you even paying attention to how he treated you and Bill. He was always making moves on you, even when Bill was there!" She looked down and thought about it. "I-i-i don't like it. B-b-but he did cross the l-line." Bill said softly into Beverly's ear. She nodded and Richie resumed the movie and took a seat. It was a sad evening but everyone knew it had to be done. You don't do what Ben did to your friends. Especially after warnings.
