"So you never heard of our band? I can't believe Calum never told you?" Luke asked once again.
We were walking back to my house since we both didn't want to be at that party any longer. My feet kicked the pebbles in my path, with only the street lights to illuminate Luke's beautiful features. I must admit I fancy him a bit even though we just met not even an hour ago.
"Nope, me and Calum haven't been friends for that long."
"Well it's me, Calum, Michael, and Ashton."
"Ashton? Ashton Irwin?" I said, this was not good. Ashton was my ex. I broke up with him 8 months ago because my parents basically made me, since he was a bit older than me. I broke his heart, and he tried to always get me back and he gave up after a month. Now I don't exactly have the same feelings anymore. I moved on and I hope he has too, it was a really dramatic break up for the two of us.
"Yeah, why?" Luke said confused.
"Uh...I used to know him."
"Oh, well anyways were called five sauce."
"Five sauce?" I furrowed my eyebrows up at him.
"Five seconds of summer!" He laughed.
"What do you do, sing?" I giggled.
"Yep I'm the lead vocalist, plus I play guitar." He winked as my cheeks flushed.
"Well it was nice meeting you!" I smiled warmly as we walked towards the front of my house.
"You should come to one of our band rehearsals one day, can I have your number?" He asked shyly as he scratched the back of his neck as we both stopped our tracks in my small driveway. I nodded my head than he slid his phone out smiling and watched as I typed in my phone number. I handed it back to him as I whispered bye him doing the same.
"Where have you been? Where were you?!" My mom rushed to the door with it not even being a crack open.
"Mom it's only 10:30 at night, calm yourself." I lightly chuckled shutting the front door behind me.
"You didn't tell me you and your friends were going out. Are they sleeping here tonight?" She raised an eyebrow.
"Nope, and it was last minute plans anyways." I said as I walked towards my room.
"Hold on I'm not done talking to you." My mom said grabbing my arm turning me back around.
"Where did you go?" She said sternly and I sighed.
"To my friend Calum's, we went out for ice cream and stuff...nothing bizarre." I fibbed.
"Alright," she dragged, "Goodnight."
"Goodnight." I said walking back to my room, shutting the door behind me looking around my small lavender colored room.
I glanced at the picture in the corner of my mirror of me and my sister and sighed. I took off the striped cropped tee-shirt I was wearing along with my black shorts, pulling on a more comfortable oversized shirt that covered most of me. I shut off the lights and turned on my fairy lights which made my room look way cooler and tumblr-ish. Plopping onto my bed, i grabbed my phone and popped in my headphones slightly smiling at the song, "Wash" by Bon Iver, my absolute favorite artist.
A couple seconds later a text from a random number showed up. I tapped on it lightly hoping it was Luke.
"hey it's luke(-:" it read, and I laughed at the creepy smiley face.
"hi it's morgan(-:" I mockingly responded.
"so band rehearsal tommorow night, you should totally come😜"
I was scared to see Ashton, It would be very awkward. I mean seeing your ex boyfriend in the same band with a guy your starting to admire. Luke and Ashton are probably best friends, i mean they are in the same band. I feel so pressured to go there because I feel if I don't luke will think I don't wanna hang out with him. I mean why does he want me there so badly to see him play guitar as I sit there awkwardly listening.
"Sure ill go, can I bring a friend?" I asked after a minute finally deciding to just screw it and go.
"Yeah! I'll text you the deets tomorrow, gotta catch the Z's bye love (-:" he responded quickly adding that damn creepy smiley face again.
