Wonder in Her Eyes

Part 1

There is a wonder in her eyes

I think as I sit in the library chair

Twirling my pen without a care

In my fingers

Her voice still lingers

Within my thoughts

I hear the doors of the building

The sound makes my head turn

It's her

She's the one

That triggers

My curiosity

The girl that has

The wonder in her eyes

She sees me

And I see her

We stare

Not knowing that people

Could be watching

I make the first move

And smile

Her face turns the color of a rose

And smiles back with her perfect teeth

Glowing like the light of the moon

I break the stare that we had

And continued to twirl my pen

I hear her heels meet the floor

The sound got louder

I stop twirling my pen

And my other hand

Grips the seat

Like I was

Being sucked out of it

She sits

In the seat

Next to me

I could smell

The scent of violets

On her fair skin

These hours have passed

And we become friends

But as the days passed

She wanted

What she couldn't have

Me and my secrets

That I hold

Part 2

The girl with the wonder

Has grown closer

To me

As I to her

She gets closer

To my secrets as well

I tell my parents

We can't keep lying

I can't keep lying

They say

The one thing

I didn't want

To hear

They tell me

I have to keep

Lying

The beast
