After meeting up with Sally, we headed outside to go to the bleachers and talk to Matt. I had told her about the idea of Matt having powers, and she agreed with me.

We walked in silence the entire way, leaving me to ponder the events earlier today.

Now it's the moment of truth. Could my suspicions be correct?

My steps came to a halt when I reached the edge of the bleachers. Matt was already there, sitting on the cold metal. He turned to look at me, with an unreadable expression on his face.

"Hey, guys." He moved down a few rows, so that he was on the same level as Sally and I. "So, I need to show you something."

"Okay..." Sally acknowledged, watching him as he stood up on the floor and bent down to pick up a piece of grass.

"Okay. Watch carefully." He placed his fingertips on the blade of grass and stared intently at it. Suddenly, there was a spark and then it spread across the entire piece of grass, singeing the bright green into a dull gray.

"Woah!" I took a step backwards, still processing what just occurred. So I was right. He did have fire powers.

Sally stood there, gaping for a while until she came to her senses. "That is sick!"

"And that's not even all of it." He pulled off his beanie to reveal a mop of red hair, matching the hue of fire perfectly.

"Matt." I remembered about the abilities that I had too, along with Sally. "I have something to tell you too."

"What is it?"

"You see my blue hair tips, and Sally's green highlight?" I asked apprehensively, not sure how he would handle the news I was about to tell him.

"Yeah." He said, not quite catching on to the main idea of me saying this.

"Well, blue is for water powers, and green is for nature powers."

"No way." He shook his head. "You're joking."

"She's not." Sally took a step forward, standing adjacent to me. "Would you like us to prove it to you?"

"Go ahead." Matt leaned back on the side of the bleachers, crossing his arms and watching us skeptically.

"If you say so." She scanned the patches of grass and found a wilted dandelion near the edge. "Alright. Watch this."

She kneeled on the floor and reached out to the damaged petals. Within a few seconds, the flower was fully restored to its regular state, and Matt's eyes were huge.

"Wha— I don't— How?!" He stammered in disbelief.

"Told you so." She smirked. "And also, remember yesterday? At the garden?"

"Yeah?" He still looked a little flustered from being in shock.

"Well, I was the one who healed the dehydrated carrot."

"That just cleared things up a lot. I was so confused on what happened." He slowly started to believe us, especially since he witnessed Sally's abilities firsthand.

"Yeah, anyway, it's Ellie's turn now." She said, guiding us over to the water fountain.

I pushed the bar for the water to start dispensing, and glanced backwards to make sure that no one else besides Sally and Matt was looking. Okay, here goes nothing.

An idea suddenly popped up in my head, and I had the perfect way of demonstrating my powers and pranking Matt at the same time.

With a jerking motion of my hand, I curved the stream of water towards Matt's direction. It splashed on his face and he instinctively brought his hands up to shield it.

"Ah! Stop!" He yelled, but burst into laughter a second later, causing Sally and I to laugh as well.

"Okay, okay, I believe you guys now." He admitted after we all settled down. "One more question, did you two find a gem before all this happened?"

"Yeah! We did, actually." I reached into my bag for the sapphire and and Sally did the same for her emerald.

Matt checked his pockets and pulled out a glimmering ruby. "I found this while looking in the closet for art supplies during class."

I was mesmerized by the beauty of the gemstone for a while until Matt called my name and lead me over to the right.

"Ellie, look at this." Sally and Matt were kneeling on the ground again, beside the grass. But this time, something was different. There was an obvious black spot where the grass was currently decomposing.

"What did you guys do?" I bent down to get a closer look at it.

"We didn't do anything." They replied simultaneously. We all looked around to see if anyone was there.

A whim of black hair disappeared around the corner of the school building, but I saw it in time.

"Guys! Follow me!" I hastily grabbed my bag and ran after the mysterious person. Who could it be? And was it the same person who caused the grass to deteriorate? Only one way to find out.

I dashed as fast as my feet could take me, with Sally and Matt trailing close behind.

The biggest surprise of all, was when I turned the corner.

The person didn't run away. Instead, they stood right there, waiting for us.

It was Noah.
