Steve brings me home where Dad is waiting for me. He engulfs me in a big hug and I can't apologize enough to him.

" I'm so sorry. I was awful to you yesterday and you needed me." I cry, holding him tight but he pats me.

" Shh, don't talk like that. You needed me too, and I wouldn't listen. I knew you wouldn't be ready to talk last night, but please understand...remember how your mother was in the last few months before she died?"

I nodded and smiled. " She was the best she ever was. She didn't hold back. You shouldn't have to suffer just because I want you here longer. I need to just enjoy the time I have left with you."

Dad cried in front of me, and he was just happy I appeared to be better.

" I had an idea, I think it's best you go to Washington with Steve."

Wait, What? I was in shock. Why would he suggest that?

" Dad? What are you talking about?"

Steve pulled me off to the side and held my hand. " Your dad and myself spoke and I want to take you back with me for a few days."

" It will be a good time to take your mind off things...off the bakery and give me time to go over...options. Maybe not so intense treatments. This is something I want to do alone so I know to make the right decision...you understand right?"

I'm still confused. " Well, yes, but... I would be comfortable if someone was here with you. Incase you fall or you get hurt."

Dad nodded. " I thought of that too."

I heard the floor creek behind me and I turn around.

" Hey!Hey!" I see my friend Sue with open arms.

" Oh my gosh! What are you doing here?"I ask, practically jumping on her as I hugged her.

" Your dad called me yesterday and asked if I can stop by for a few days while you take a trip with...Captain America over here." She turned to Steve and smiled. A rosy blush washed her face.

" Thanks for saving us. I was in the building with Heylee when those weird aliens were trying to...well...You know all that." She said and Steve smiled.

I turn to Steve who moved next to me as Sue moves to my father. As Steve turns my way, Sue mouths the words 'He's so hot!' and I give her 'stop it' eyes.

Steve looks me and his expression softens as he holds my hands.

" Come with me to Washington. Please."

I turned my head to my dad and Sue and both of them were nodding. When I looked back at Steve, His eyes looked to be pleading in my soul.

" Okay. I'll go with you."

Hours later, we are getting off the train and getting my bags. Steve is holding my hand so tightly I feel my fingers go numb.

" Steve, my hand is turning purple." I whisper.

He looks at our hands and sees that he's holding too tight.

" Sorry." He giggles nervously, then rubs my hand to get the blood flowing.

"I'm not going anywhere. I promise."

He looks at me and he smiles. " I know, i'm just...not good at this."

" Your better then you think. Now lets go." I demand and we walk together to the exit of the station.
