Heylee's POV

I felt like I was taking a walk of shame as I found Sam smirking back at me when he was slicing a bagel.

"You better cut that out and tell me what I should be helping you with mister."

He chuckled, then passed me the egg cartons to make scrambled eggs.

After breakfast, Natasha and Steve began talking about what happened in the bunker.

"So the question is...who at SHIELD can order a domestic missile strike?" Natasha asked.

Steve bit at his thumb for a moment before answering. "Pierce."

I shrug my shoulders. " Who is Pierce?"

" The head of the HYDRA snake apparently." Steve responded.

" Who happens to be sitting on the top of the worlds most secure building." Natasha added.

I decide to clean up from breakfast, since Sam is following their conversation better then I am. I wash the pan that fried the eggs.

By the time I came back, I noticed that Sam handed Steve a folder.

" What's this?"

" Consider this my resume."

Natasha recognizes his mission. Must have been serious if Natasha knows about it.

He hands him another folder, thicker.

" I thought you said you were a pilot?"

Sam smirked but shook his head. " I never said Pilot."

I took the folder and looked over the blueprints of a parachute with wings and rockets. " You did say you flew." I added and Sam nodded to me.

Steve shook his head. " I can't ask you to do this Sam. You got out for a reason."

"Then what better reason to bet back in to help Captain America."

I smiled as did Steve. They talk about where is the closest model for the prototype was located and it's not too far.

I collect the plates on the table and Steve grabs my hand. " Leave it. I need to talk to you." He says and pulls me into the bedroom.

" Whats wrong?" I ask.

He sighs and rubs his head, making his hair even more sexy looking.

" What is it?" I ask again.

"We are gonna pick up Sitwell and then I'm bringing you to the train station." He said, though it sounded more like an order.

" You already decided this didn't you?" I ask, and he sighed looking away from me.

"Do you think they won't know I would try to go home. Steve they know all about me. You brought me to SHIELD. They know my address, my bakery, what makes you think they don't have someone outside my dads house waiting for me to come back and kill me? Are you sure you want to just send me on my way?" I explain to him.

He shakes his head.

" You said I shouldn't leave your side. I know it's dangerous, but I know you will keep me safe."

"Like I have the last time?" he comments and I look at his eyes assuringly.

"That was my choice, I decided to be the distraction. You needed to find a way out and I allowed it to happen."

He grabbed my sore wrist and raised the sleeve. "Yeah, I see that."

I pulled down my sleeve and looked in his eyes. " Don't blame yourself for things that are not your fault. I don't blame you Steve."
