"Maya!" I cry out to my best friend, and as normal, she comes running over to me with her arms opened to hold me in.
She wraps her arms around me and I snuggle into her embrace...I just need some to cry into. Lucas had to take care of an emergency at work, but he's still off for a month.
I just continue to sob into my best friend's shoulder. "Maya It hurts!"
"I know honey I know..." She says in her soothing tone.
"It-it hurts to kn-know that I-I will nev-never get to e-even hold her in-in my arms, let a-alone watch h-her g-grow up!" I continue to sob.
"I know how you feel, I know the pain."
"Wh-what? H-hoe do ya-how do you know?"
She lets out a heavy sigh, as if she were mentally planning herself for what she's gonna say.
