"W-What do you want?!" A tall, worryingly thin boy barked at the two chuckling mean girls standing over him. The two grinned as they looked down on him, at that exact moment he was in the corner on the floor of a dirty bathroom stall with fear in his eyes. "I'll give you lunch money, be your pet or whatever it is you want- just leave me alone!" He begged desperately at the two of them, his voice cracking. The two, Yeonie and Jisuu looks at each other and snickered, they had been pestering and bulling him for the past two weeks with every chance they got but today had been the worst by far. "Heh.. you're no fun..We'll see you later," she leaned in to flick his forehead with her sharp red plastic nails, "pretty boy." She grinned mockingly before the two filled the stalls with laughter as they left."Pretty boy"..He'd gotten stuck with that dumb nickname ever since fifth grade when one of the bigger girls on their grade didn't remember his name and yelled it out for everyone to hear. He grabbed his old stained backpack before he got up, it was proven difficult because his legs and arms were so thin though he got up eventually. His old and slightly torn pants had gotten dirty and a new tear had appeared on his knee as well as a small cut was visible from the attempt at getting away, so Shaye lightly brushed them off with a disgusted frown before he left the bathroom. The exact moment He stepped a foot into the dim lit hallway, he got hit in the back of the head by a orange basketball, Seriously? "Oh sorry, Didn't see you there.. Pretty boy." The guy who hit him let out a snort before he grabbed the ball before running back over to his laughing friends.
Shaye sighed annoyed and started strolling lazily in the direction of his next class, Music, music history and vocalism- MMHV as it was. He despised MMHV class, Because of the teacher and the class topic itself. Ever since he was a kid; Music was heavily frowned upon, put in a evil light almost. According to his father who had grown up isolated from the Internet on the country side, Music was from Satan itself.
When the thought knocked in.. why did they even have MMHV as a class at their school? Oh right..There had been a new teacher earlier that year, Kim Jihun. They didn't originally have anything even close to music as a class, they hadn't had it as a class since Elementary but the new teacher was very serious about the class being implemented as a topic that should be thought on, with pestering the principal and referring to studies about how music had an affect on multiple things, the principal caved in.
When Shaye had MMHV as a class on his schedule, he got this nervousness and uneasy feeling because Mr Kim usually picked a random student to either talk or sing and Shaye never knew if he was going to be picked out. Shaye was absolutely terrified of the idea 'Singing infront of others', mildly spoken.
When he was a young boy his mother would always continuously tell him that his singing was beautiful but as he grew up he gathered that she probably just gave him those compliments to distract Shaye from the awful things his father was doing to them both. Speaking of Shaye's father, He always told him that his singing was garbage and Things like; 'that singing of yours sucks, maybe even more then your mothers blowjob'.
Shaye shook his head and cleared his trail of thought before he continued onward for the right door. Finally he found it and pushed it open with a grunt as the door creaked. He knew that he was about twenty minutes late but, honestly what do the teachers expect? That people want to go to class?
"How nice of you to join us Mr Min. You do realize, Class started-" he looked down at his watch quickly, "something along twenty minutes ago?" Mr. Kim looked him in the eye and said with an annoyed but calm tone. Some of the girls giggled in the back as Mr.Kim waited patiently for a silly answer. Shaye shrugged slightly and decided to tell him 'the truth', "I didn't really want to go to a class of your leadership, Sir" He mumbled. Mr Kim scoffed offended as Shaye began to take a seat in the far back.
"....Anyway.. So, as I was saying." He walked back over to the board where there was a slide with some random information about that day. "There will be a Competition held at the concert hall not too far away from here and the principal is a woman with many connections. Let's just say she knows a guy who knows a guy who knows one of those famous people..Bang Si-hyuk." He glanced over the students for any reaction but surprisingly.. He got nothing more then a few Yawns and tired expressions. "Bighit Entertainment?" He sighed grumpily, Shaye could tell by his face expression that Mr Kim had given up on them. He checked his watch once more before he continued "... Bighit is the company where the famous Kpop band is from, I reckon you all know BTS." He was then interrupted by a few intrigued mumbles.
"So, Because we managed to get In contact with Bighit and BTS's manager.. We got our school put up for the contest and they coming here for the competition, as you all probably know, Bighit is currently holding national auditions and competitions to have a new member in BTS, this is that type of competition." He looked annoyed when most of the class started gasping with shocked but excited faces. Others being selfish, letting out comments like "I'm going to win" or "I'm sure Bts will Love me, after all.. I'm the prettiest girl here.".
As mentioned, Shaye didn't listen to music. He didn't really have the chance to, If his father heard Music in the house, He'd get a very serious beating. He had heard some of BTS's songs nonetheless on the radio, 'Dope' and 'Not today' mostly. Only because all the students at Shaye's High school loved them. He let out a grunt and raised his hand to ask a question. "Yes, Mr.Min?" The teacher replyed with a annoyed smile. "Do we have to partake?..What happen if a female won?.. Aren't we too young? Is the whole school going?". Now the whole class were looking at the teacher (Who hated questions) for answers. "Well.." he cleared his throat annoyed, since nothing like this has ever happened here, I reckon it will be mandatory as for your second question, obviously BTS is a boyband, therefore a female cannot win but they'll be scouting for members to a future Girl group." He sighed before he continued, "They will look at ages as well, those here who are sixteen and under will not get to preform and yes the whole school will be going as either audience or performers."
He continued. "As for the following events after the competition..." Shaye tuned his rambling out, He didn't bother listening to something he didn't care about. With a grunt and a annoyed expression, he grabbed his backpack and tossed it over his shoulder before he made his way over the classroom floor only to be stopped by the teacher. "Mr.Min, Where are you going?" He sighed and you could tell that his voice had been painted with pure annoyance and anger. Shaye looked back at him and gave him a lazy answer before leaving.
"Away from your bullshit class, Mr Kim."
