Chapter XII: An unexpected truth

Third Person's Pov

"Noona, look at this." Jungkook stated as Jennie stood beside him and read the single piece of paper that revealed everything. With wide eyes, Jennie handed the paper back to Jungkook who set it aside and continued browsing the folder for more important information.

"She.... She's a spy." Jennie mumbled and started cursing Jangmi again. Who would've thought that the slut was an undercover spy? Now, Jennie's mind was processing all the information. She finally understood why Jangmi was desperately clinging unto Jimin. And how she was invited to her boyfriend's congratulatory party made sense, seeing that her actions back then was really questionable. That mere fact made her more furious and thinks 109,579 ways on how to kill her.

For now, all that Jennie and Jungkook knows is that Lee Jangmi was a spy that EXO had sent. Apparantly, Jennie also suspects that they are indeed desperately looking for the ancient treasure the Parks have in possession seeing that Jangmi refuses to cut all contact with Jimin after all the threatening Jennie had done.

"This girl is much more dangerous than we thought. But, I know there's more to it. That group EXO, on the other hand is another headache." Jennie told Jungkook who just nodded. EXO was a long time enemy of Jennie's group and she wants to avoid any interaction with them as much as possible but given the situation, she cannot afford to ignore them any longer.

"Noona, what do we do about them? You can't possibly go and attack EXO wouldn't you?" Jungkook asked worriedly. He knows that EXO is a big name in BLACK MARKET as he is an assassin himself. Sure, he has encountered them before and knows that they are a powerful group despite the fact that there are only 12 members residing. And now that they are starting to create havoc was stressing his cousin and was worrying him. Jennie was his only family left and her brother too but they are not that close and he prefers to stay beside Jennie and continues to support her.

"I won't do anything recklessly, I promise. Jungkook, I need you to follow Jangmi around. Until then, I will make sure that nothing happens to the Parks. Are we clear?" Jennie instructs with a clear tone in her voice.

"I'll do my best noona. But if you don't mind me asking, why can't you tell the gang of this matter?" Jungkook asked while wondering why they are keeping this in the first place.

"I won't tell them anything when I haven't confirmed my suspicions. Besides, they are busy operating on missions." Jennie replied and nudged Jungkook to leave.

[A FEW DAYS LATER]

Jungkook did as what he was told and followed Jangmi around, being careful not to be spotted. He followed her around, noticing that she has been checking and breaking in the banks of the Parks, looking for the Jewelry that Jennie had mentioned.
