zach peaks his head over the edge, seeing the calm river wrapping around the bridges cement poles.
his stomach was doing flips as he tries not to imagine himself splatting into the rocky water below.
"this is for you, aussie."
he steps forward on the platform, pushing the cheers and words from the boys and the director out of his mind. the only thing he could hear now was the wind and...lunas voice.
"he reminds me of you."
"oh?"
"he's strong..."
zach takes another step forward, letting his toes poke off the edge of the ramp.
"courages..."
he glances over his shoulders at the boys who are jumping up and down and cheering him on.
"loving..."
he inhales a breath and turns back around, preparing himself to leap.
"caring..."
inhale, exhale.
"he's fearless, just like you."
leap.
