ENEMIES
"why is everything my fault?"
"luna, it is not."
luna sighs and pulls her knees to her chest as she watches the clouds from outside the window. she tried to imagine zach herron jumping through the clouds just to find her.
"my father hates me. it's like we're in a war."
the boy stands up and sits besides her, wrapping an arm around her shoulders and pulling her close.
"i know you miss her, but you did the right thing."
luna shakes her head and leans into him, not taking her eyes off the clouds.
"it's not about her or father anymore, it's just zach i need to think of now."
he nods his head understandably as her looks down at her.
"i know you—"
"harvey, i don't just miss him! i hate myself for making him do so many stupid things just to end up with me! for god's sakes, i fucking need him!"
the boy watches as a tears slide down her flushed cheeks and he lets out small sigh. he knew she missed him, but he didn't know it was that strong of a feeling.
"hey, i know. i know. i can't do much to help, you want me to go get laur?"
luna shakes her head and flutters her eyes close, leaning closer to him.
"just sing to me... please."
"like zach did?"
"like zach did."
