"if i die, i'm suing."
zach rolls his eyes and shoves daniel childishly.
"very funny."
jonah sighs and gives the two a warning look which makes them quicken their pace towards the plane. jonah grabs their arms and pull them up forcefully, letting his bad mood kick in with the fact he's about to jump out of a plane.
the man begins giving instructions as the plane begins take off and everyone is safely seated.
"it's gonna be kinda crazy at first," the man explains with a whimsical grin. "you'll be free falling over rainbow cliffs, so focus on that. then, you will be told when to pull the latch to set off your parachute. are you all ready?"
a chorus of cheers ring through the plane and the nervousness from the bridge comes back to zach.
if he can jump off a bridge, he can surely jump out of a plane.
in only a matter of minutes, he's standing in line to jump out of the plane after his four best friends.
deep breaths, zach. think of her just like the first time.
"when i was a little kid, i dreamed of flying..."
think of her and you can do it.
"like jumping out of a plane and instead of
falling—i'd soar..."
he watches jonah's feet push himself off the plane and into the warm san diego air.
"just the wind in my face made me feel free..."
then jack jumps, throwing zach an encouraging smile before doing so.
"so one day, i stood on the edge of a cliff with the waves crashing on the rocks below me..."
the man nudges zach forward and soon he's stood with the ground thousands and thousands of feet below him.
"and i thought, 'what if i could fly..."
zach inhales another breath and steps forward.
"i wanted to be an angel, zach..."
the man holds a gopro out to zach's frightened face.
"i wanted to fly..."
then, he feels his body lurch out of the plane and begin to plummet to the earth.
"because if i flew, i could be free from everything..."
zach laughs as his body falls through the white fluff of a cloud.
"but i wouldn't have met you..."
the adrenaline pumped through his blood as the man zach was attached to flipped them in all sorts of directions.
"and you make me feel free..."
the parachute opens and the five best friends are floating around each other with wide grins. they were flying, just like venus-luna kimber wanted to.
