Skyrim has quite a few giant camps around the map, and the giants tend to have their mammoths with them. Now I have several funny and unique stories about these docile unless provoked beings. First off a little hint, unless in a group, or are very strong you probably should not go after one of them until at least level eight, maybe seven if you are lucky. Though one of my encounters I was level nine and well, I'll tell you about it soon enough.
My first memorable embarrassing but funny incident involving giants was at my home Lakeview Manor. I went outside to check on my garden for some potions I was going to make forgetting I, well my character Gwin had not put any clothes on since having taken her armor off to alter it. I had the screen on the point of view where you see through her eyes , and not her avatar, so that is why I didn't know about it. I only learned after my character was suddenly flung high into the air like a rocket with no clothes by a giant who was on my property and got angry that I was outside near it. Like the fact of not wearing clothes, I didn't notice the giant until it was too late. I was about level eleven at the time. And yes my girl died. I only find it funny becasue of how aggressive the giant was for no real reason, and my lack of armor or clothing of any kind.
{Little interesting fact about no clothes. If you get bored walk around the cities like that, and see their reactions. Some will actually talk to you advising you get dressed or how indecent you look. Depending on the character it is funny at times.}Another encounter which is more of a holy crap moment involved me taking a bounty for a giant near Whiterun. Now this was the time I was level nine. I went to the camp and the giant was inside a cavern so I went to kill it. I had no trouble with this one which I found shocking. I thought it was going to be an easy payday, that is until I left the cave and was cornered by his fellow giant and two mammoths. I managed to survive the giant and killed it. The mammoths were not so easy, especially when I notices there were now five enemy dots. While fighting them a spriggan and two sabre cats showed up! After allot of potions healing magic and some food, I managed to survive the attack and kill them all. I did have to reload three times though having died when the mammoths attacked, then the sabre cats, then once when the spriggan and cats were attacking. After the fight I noticed another enemy dot but left it alone when I saw it was a fox who the spriggan must have controlled and now it was more scared than in a fighting mood. All I got, well not including the loot from the giants mammoths spriggan and cats was one hundred gold.
{When dealing with multiple enemies figure out which ones are the biggest threat and take them out first. With the mammoths and sabre cats, the mammoths were the toughest so I took them down first. Between the sabre cats and spriggan the spriggan had to go first because of her magic. Also when in an open field use it to your advantage. Run around to dodge or even while healing yourself before charging in to attack again.}Now my latest memorable giant encounter was a holy crap as well, with a some amusement. At least, I found it funny. So this one I was level fifteen I think, anyways I was sneaking into a camp to get a book from the chest and told Lydia to not follow me past the boulder since I knew she cannot sneak and would cause an attack from the giants. There were three giants and three mammoths. So as I got the book and was leaving I noticed the giants were now enemies and attacking because Lydia had shot at them with her bow and arrow for some unknown reason. So here I was trying to survive three giants and their mammoths. After 15 minutes or so of battle using my unrelenting force shout on the giants as a distraction so I could take out the mammoths first, me and Lydia were left standing around six gigantic bodies. How she managed to survive I have no clue. But I can tell you later on I got my revenge when I got my hands on the Ebony Blade.
{Lydia and other followers cannot sneak. So when doing stealth attacks best leave them behind. I also have some stories later on about other follower's who have caused me trouble. Oh and a unrelated haha short story. Another time I made Lydia stay behind so I could sneak, I never came back for her and left her in a cave. Only met up with her later when she decided to return home without me which was several days later.}
