Around two weeks passed by rather quickly, and I rarely spent any time doing anything outside of researching and studying. I saw Lance a few times, but we didn't spend too much time together. Between all of our meetings and speeches, we hadn't really had much free time.

I hadn't spoken to Aidan since after the first meeting. He'd barely even glanced at me since then. I also hadn't really spoken to Naida. We had exchanged short and brief sentences with each other, but we didn't communicate to each other more than that. She was still upset about Niall who still had not talked to me since the ball.

I was finally going on my first official date with Lance. He asked me to meet him in the garden for a picnic. I knew that it probably would lead to our actual first kiss. I was nervous, but I was also excited.

I thought about Aidan less as I spent less time with him. I felt almost that it was better for everyone that I stayed away from him completely.

Before I met with Lance, I went back to my room to get ready. I grabbed a cute blue and white day dress from my things, and I quickly changed into it. I applied my make up carefully. My eyeshadow was slightly sparkly, and I put on light pink lipstick. When I finished my make up, I carefully curled my hair, and I looked into the mirror.

I felt that I looked rather cute. I smiled as I ran my fingers through my hair.

"You look really great," Naida told me softly.

I quickly turned to face her. I was shocked that she was being nice to me again.

"Naida, thank you. I am so sorry..." I began to apologize when she stopped me.

"I don't want to talk about it. Let's just end this at the fact that you look great," she told me before going to read again.

I didn't push her. I knew that she was still upset. I didn't know what to do. Niall still had not explained himself to me, and Naida wouldn't believe me when I told her that I had no idea what she was talking about.

I just shrugged, and I left the room again heading toward the garden. I got outside near the bridge, and I walked past it.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Aidan talking to Aria. She was smiling, but I couldn't see his face. I frowned, but I walked past them anyway. I didn't know why he was talking to her, but I deeply hoped that he wasn't considered courting her. He was free to court whoever he wanted, but Aria was just awful.

I pushed those thoughts out of my mind as I walked toward the garden.

When I spotted it, I literally sighed in awe of how amazing it was. There were flowers everywhere, and everything was absolutely beautiful. I was expecting it to be nice, but I didn't think it would be so breathtaking.

"It's amazing. Isn't it?" Lance asked me coming into my view from behind a tree.

"It's absolutely beautiful," I told him with a grin.

He took my hand in his and slowly brought it up to his lips, "Just like you."

I smiled as he showed me around the garden. The roses and lilies were my favorites, but they were all nice.

He led me to the picnic table in the center, and there were rose petals carefully placed on the ground around the table. There were some candles lit on the table, and I noticed the picnic basket sitting on the end.

"This is really romantic, Lance. How much time did this take you?" I asked him curiously.

"It wasn't that big of a deal. I just wanted this to be special," he told me with an almost shy looking smile.
