Misha's POV:

But I have stopped myself on my dead tracks the confidence and anger on my face was replaced by a pale face when I heard Mr. Clarkson say

"You were the one who saved my grandfather. Aren't you baby girl? You are a doctor as well as a the CEO of Summers and Co. Am I right baby girl? Or I should say Dr. Misha Summers, the CEO of Summers and Co.?"

Oh no! Holy oceans. He knows it buy there is something I know that he is not sure about that.

"Mr. Clarkson, I wasn't the one who saved your grandfather but yeah. He was admitted in our hospital and was saved by our professional and trained doctors at our hospital."

"But my grandfather said that the doctor who saved his life has the name Misha and she doesn't even know you. Am I right?"

I choked on my saliva after I heard what he said. He surely has a lot of connections. I'm not going to give in so easily.

"Misha is one of our excellent doctors who treats others with kindness. We both know each other professionally but I know nothing much about her personal life." I tried to say it confidently. But I think I've failed this time.

"Why do I feel like it has something to do with you baby girl?"

Idiot. Does he know how to read minds? I huffed and said,

"It has nothing to do with me Mr. Clarkson. It is you who is imagining things. And please stop calling me baby girl. It is not sounding appropriate. I am not your girlfriend nor your fiancè to give me such names. I have a proper name. It is Misha or you can call me Ms. Summers."

He started coming closer to me and I started to take steps back. My steps came to a sudden halt when my back hit the wall. His hands shot forward and found it's way on my cheeks. He started caressing my cheeks. My eyes widened at his sudden action.

Misha, you are trapped.

"To me you are a baby girl who needs to be protected from every damage caused by this world."

Who does he think he is? He will be my knight in shining armour? That is not going to happen.

"Thank you for your caring nature Mr. Clarkson. But I'm old enough to manage my things." I said confidently.

"Baby girl, I'm letting you go tonight. That doesn't mean that you got rid of me permanently. You have to come to me soon. I will be waiting for you." He said the last part in my ears huskily. Instead of feeling disgusted, I'm liking it and feeling shivers run down my spine again for the second time today.

I will catch cold if shivers run through me at this rate. Holy pearls help me. Somehow, I've gained my confidence back somehow and said,

"It is Mr. Clarkson for me not Ethan. You aren't even my friend to call you that Mr. Clarkson. Sitting in a desert and waiting for rain doesn't get anything to you. So, if you will excuse me Mr. Clarkson, I have to go home. I have some work to do." I said and got out of his trap.

I went home after that not at all bothering Mr. Clarkson's voice screaming my name at the background. Truffle greeted me like always. After pampering her, I went to pamper myself with a warm shower and my favourite dinner. It had spaghetti with tomato sauce and custard as a dessert at the end. While eating, I rose my head to see Adam in front of me. I smirked and said,

"Good that you are here brother. We should talk in private."

"Mom and dad are asleep. Truffle is in your room. There's no one except us here Misha. Tell me what you wanted to talk to me."
