Chapter 11

Ray and Jasmine are back to Calabar and they've headed to their various homes.

Jasmine had hired a taxi that took her home. When the taxi got to the front of their house,he pulled the car to a stop and Jasmine came down from it with her travelling bag in her hand. She paid him off and he drove off afterwards. She went closer to the gate and knocked on it.

"Who is there?". Joshua, the gatekeeper asked.

"Its me, Jasmine." She replied.

Joshua didn't hesitate to open the gate haven't heard Jasmine's voice. "Ma'am. Welcome. How was your trip?". He asked with a lit expression when he saw Jasmine standing in front of the gate.

"Fine. It was indeed a successful one. And you,how have you been?". She asked smiling at him.

"I miss you and your charming smiles. It got me almost sick when I didn't see you for three days now. But thank goodness you're here." He replied with a grin.

Jasmine chuckled and gave him a nudge on his arm. "Seriously? You've got me flattered I must confess. Let's go in now because I'm a bit exhausted." She replied with a grin and Joshua made way for her to go in and he also collected her travelling bag and followed her behind.

"Miss Rosa? I'm back." Jasmine called out when got to the living room.

"Jasmine!". Rosa exclaimed excitedly and walked out hastily from the kitchen entrance where she was standing to the living room and hugged Jasmine so tight.

"I miss you so much,my girl." Rosa said holding on to her hand.

"I miss you too,Rosy. How are you?". Jasmine asked cupping Rosa chin.

"I'm fine, just that I miss you. Good to have you back. So how was the trip?." Rosa asked.

Jasmine face lit up with smiles on having a brief flashback to the moments Ray and her had while in Abuja. She snapped out of the thought to avoid Rosa questioning her and then she answered."It was good. My trip to Abuja was a memorable one I won't forget in a hurry. I really did enjoy my stay with...". She trailed off when she realized she was trespassing.

"You enjoyed your stay with...?". Rosa asked staring right at her.

"Ugh. Wi..th... N-no one.". She replied with a stutter.

Rosa furrowed her brow and said. "What do you mean no one? C'mon, don't lie to me. And by the way when did you start stammering? Did something good happen while you were there? Because your smiles and your happy mood is obvious". Rosa asked and Jasmine was silent and looking downward.

Rosa gave her a suspicious look,then she held Jasmine's hand and dragged her to the couch where both of them sat.

"So,we are seated now. My instinct tells me you are hiding something, so go ahead and tell me what it is, I'm all ears." Rosa said folding her arms on her chest until Jasmine gave in.

Jasmine rolled her eyes and said."Fine. I'll tell you,but promise me its going to be between us alone. Promise?". She asked and Rosa nodded using her fingers to zip her mouth.

"Good. How do I start now?"- Jasmine asked with a huff before she continued,"-OK, this is it. I think I'm in love, Rosy".

Rosa eyes widened with shock. Ever since she has been with Jasmine,she had never for once said she has a boyfriend like other girls do neither has she ever said the word 'love' to her hearing. But right now she just said that.
"Did I hear you well?". Rosa asked.

"Yes you did, Rosy. I know how surprise you are to hear that,but really I'm in love with someone for the first time in my life." Jasmine replied.

"Wow. Interesting. How did it all happened? I mean who is this guy that got you in love with him?". Rosa asked trying to get off the puzzled look.
