Chapter 6 Metal Tin Heads and Trouble with The Doctor

Doctors P.O.V

I was gone for an hour and I already felt like violet was getting into some kind of trouble. I managed to find a way to escape the Cybermen which failed! I was thrown into a cell guarded by four Cybermen and I dropped my sonic screwdriver on the way here. I hope violet will find it and then I will never live this humiliation down saved by a teenage girl and my daughter of all people!

Violets P.O.V

So far I have been roaming endless white corridors, luckily my frame is small enough to fit into small spaces and I have been able to escape the clutches of the metal tin heads. All I had to do is follow the main stream of Cyberman cautiously they will hopefully either bring me to the main room of the ship and I can access the controls and that's about as far as I had planned. I heard a loud rattling sound and I looked down it was The doctors sonic screwdriver! So he either dropped it and knows what he is doing and has a plan or he was captured and giving me a trail. I was going for the latter. I rolled my eyes of course I have to save his butt! The stream I've been following filed out into different rooms. I looked down the corridor there was no where for me to hide. I couldn't risk sneaking down an open hallway I'd be spotted in two minutes flat!

'What to do' I twisted the sonic screwdriver in my pocket for inspiration. My eyes drifted over to a plastic grate wide enough for someone with a small frame to crawl through. The vents perfect these probably lead to the main room of the ship. The console would need to be cooled constantly otherwise the whole ship would go up in flames. I used my sonic to open the vent. The grate fell with a loud crash!

'Good going violet you have alerted every metal tin head on the premisis'

When no alarm sounded and no loud clattering feet came to grab me. I climbed into the vent and shuffled my way along. I peered down each ceiling vent until I finally found the main room. I stared at the controls there were at least several Cybermen managing the controls. I was hoping for a big red button that screamed destruction but I'm not that lucky. I would have to do this old school. I pointed my sonic at the controls but unfortunately for me I didn't set it to the setting I needed because it loosened the bolts on the grate I was kneeling on and I fell through the roof into a room full of Cybermen.

"INTRUDER, DELETE, DELETE, DELETE" a chorus of mechanical voices screamed my execution. I had to of something fast.

"I will destroy you" I shouted, holding up my sonic I just hoped they believed me. Their voices fell silent, I had their attention, good.

'Don't screw this up violet'

"In my hand is a detonator on your ship there are twelve EMP's that will wipe out every piece of machinery on this ship"

Science.

"I will press the button" I said threateningly.

Silence.

'Right, well, better tell them what I want'

"Bring me The Doctor unharmed immediately"

The room remind silent except for the few clattering of tin feet that went to get The Doctor. When he arrived I don't know if he looked happy or mad to see me, definitely not happy.

"I told you to stay in the TARDIS" he fumed.

I smirked "No you sent me a message on a piece of paper"

"Phycic paper" he corrected. "What are you doing here?"

"Saving you" I smiled sweetly.

"I'm doing fine I have a plan" he said crossly.

"Clearly" I said sarcastically.

"Alright metal tin heads this is what's going to happen, The Doctor and I are going to escape and your going to let us and I might not blow up this ship"

"THE DOCTOR AND THE FEMALE WILL BE DELETED"

I cursed earning a scolding look from The Doctor. I soniced the closest thing to me which happened to be the alarm. That gave me an idea I turned the volume up ten fold and the Tin metal heads started doing a jerky like dance before there heads exploded.

"What did you do?" The Doctor shouted over the racket. We ran out of the main room passing many malfunctioning Cybermen. I grinned proudly I did that and on my first adventure.

"The alarms it makes the sound turn into a strong vibrations which makes their heads explode" I shouted back.

"No I mean how did you get it to a high frequency"

I smiled "Using the sonic screwdriver the TARDIS gave me"

We stopped, panting outside the TARDIS doors.

"What? You better not have touched anything" he warned me.

"Nope" I said truthfully I didn't touch the console the sonic did.

"Speaking of sonics"

I chucked his at him and we walked into the TARDIS. I sneaked to my room hoping to the universe that he hadn't noticed the damage on the console until I got safely into my room. Well more like tried to sneak into my room.

"Violet Smith what the hell did you do to my console" an angry voice shouted.

A minute later a very angry Doctor stormed into my room glaring at me. I smiled meekly and he held up broken wires.

"Um...I can explain" I laughed nervously. But he was still furious. I explained what happened and made sure I emphasized 'accident' but I dug too deep and I had no hope of getting out alive! If looks could kill I'd have used up all my regenerations already.

"Give me your sonic" he ordered.

"But I just got it" I whined.

"And you don't know how to use it" he held out his hand and I sulkily gave it to him.

"When will I get it back"

"When your not grounded" he said pocketing it.

Phew at least I'll get it back, Wait GROUNDED!!!!!

"You can't be serious. It was an accident" I said following him into the console room.

He spun round and looked me dead in the eyes. "You could have gotten yourself killed" he said his voice quiet it scared me. Apparently when The Doctor went quiet it meant bad news.

"I'm sorry" was all I could come up with. I knew he was angry at me but there was something else as well.

"I won't lose you violet" he said calmly looking me in the eyes.

"Uh... How long am I grounded for exactly" I said saying anything to fill the eerie quietness in the room. My words seemed to snap him back to reality.

"I haven't decided yet"

"You can't just ground me until you feel like it I need a time or a day" I protested.

"Of course I can I'm your father" he said firmly. This time I went quiet I refused to meet his gaze. I still wasn't comfortable adopting him in a fatherly role. I didn't mind if I traveled like one of his companions. I just wasn't ready to forgive them yet for leaving me.

"I'm going to my room" I mumbled.

"Violet" but I already left running to my room.

Doctors P.O.V

I knew as soon as I mentioned it I made a mistake. Violet went quiet for a moment not meeting my gaze.

"I'm going to my room" she mumbled.

"Violet" I tried to stop her but she ran out of the room.

I sighed in frustration ad leaned against the console. The TARDIS hummed.

"Yeah she's still mad" I sighed. One day I hope she will forgive me.
