Chapter 11 Silence

Rivers P.O.V

The Doctor picked me up from storm cage so we could go traveling together.

"Where's Violet" I asked loom around the TARDIS.

"With Amy and Rory" he murmured pulling levers and pressing buttons. He left the breaks on again! I deftly flipped a switch.

"What are you doing" The Doctor said glaring at me.

"Nothing sweety" I smiled innocently. He turned back to the comsole and set in coordinates. I flicked the navigation switch on and pressed the lock button so we didn't end up visiting them sometime in the future.

"Now I know your doing something" The Doctor accused.

I hid my grin. "No, in just wondering where were going" I leaned against the console like I was there the entire time.

"Where going on a holiday" The Doctor said keeping his eyes trained on me. "But first we have to visit The Ponds" he grinned.

We landed outside my parents house.

"River" Amy shouted. I laughed as I was tackled into a hug.

"Hello mum"

Rory joined and I waved for The Doctor but he stood apart smiling like an idiot!

"Hey mom"

I spun round in surprise. "Violet?" I questioned. I looked at The Doctor and he just smiled. Then clapped his hands together.

"Violet River and I are going out for a few days traveling do you mind staying with Amy and Rory for a few days" The Doctor asked. What was he up to?

Violet crossed her arms and glared defiantly. "No way that's not fair, your going to leave me here again, while you guys chase aliens" she said ignorantly.

"Just for couple of days and you can talk to Amy and Rory about their adventures" I encouraged.

"Fine" she gave in reluctantly. "But get me a souvenir" she demanded.

The Doctor and I left her there and we went on our holiday.

Doctors P.O.V

So far I had taken River to a planet made of ice and we skated. I took her to Egypt several thousand years ago only to be chased by murderous Egyptian's for accusing there emperor for being an alien. He was a slitheen! We stopped him and elected a new emperor and I think I made the policy of democracy thousands of years old.

"So what to now sweety" River asked with her trademark smile.

"A planet full of dinosaurs" I grinned. Her excitement was contagious. I dashed around the console setting coordinates. I started to feel a deep sense of dread. I stopped and turned to River she had a worried expression on her face.

"Doctor" a voice hissed.

I spun round and stared the silence in the face.

"Soon Doctor"

"Soon for what" I asked curiously but keeping my face stern.

"Soon"

"Doctor?"

I looked at River. "Hmm?" I asked her absentmindedly. She held up her arm and on her arm was a thick black mark that made me feel sick.

"We need to get violet" I said urgently.

"I need to go back to storm cage"

I nodded. "I'll take you there"

I landed us outside storm cage.

"Make sure she's safe" she whispered softly and kissed me then left. I stared at the doors dazed then remembered what I needed to do. I landed outside the Ponds house. The ground shook and I stumbled back holding into the TARDIS for support. What just happened?

"Amy" I shouted running into the house. "Rory" no answer.

"Violet" I shouted urgently. I was starting to get worried. I ran I into the kitchen and stopped a huge hole in the ground was closing up and violet was flying in the air. I sighed in relief she was okay. Wait! Violet is flying! Shes going to get herself killed! She landed and walked passed me to the fridge. I crossed my arms over my chest.

"Violet pond explain yourself" I demanded.

Violets P.O.V

I smiled nervously but he just glared at me waiting for an explanation.I scanned through a bunch of lies but found nothing suitable.

I settled for "I'm sorry"

"Sorry doesn't explain why you were floating in the air does it" he demanded. "What were you thinking anything could have happened someone could have seen you or your energy could have been detected by another species trying to kill you. You've regenerated so your cells have returned to normal and when you fly your like a great shining beacon of fresh energy beaming into space."

I looked down at my shoes feeling like a scolded puppy. I realized he was just trying to protect me as a parent.

"I'm sorry" I said again quietly it was like the only thing I could say. The doctor lifted my chin and made me look at him.

"Its dangerous do you understand?" He asked softly. I nodded.

"Good, I'm not happy the you disobeyed me again but at least you understand what can happen" then his tone turned stern. "Don't do it again"

"What disobeying you our flying" I said cheekily.

The Doctor gave me a stern look and sighed. "Flying but I would appreciate it if you listened to me"

"I promise I won't fly in public" I agreed because we both know that I'm not going to listen to everything he says.

Suddenly the lights flickered and everything froze. What the hell? I waved my hand in front of The Doctors face. No movement he wasn't even blinking.

"Violet smith pond we are the silence you will come with us"

I turned around and stared at these pale faced monsters. Where have I seen them before?

"You told me to fall" I accused.

They remained silent.

"So your stalking me?"

Silence.

"Ok why are you here"

Silence.

Let's see if they hear this. "WHAT SO YOU WANT WITH ME" I shouted.

They still remained silent. I walked away from them the air became dense and I was struggling to breath. Then darkness swallowed me in its deadly clutches.
