Chapter 21 Lost in London

Violets P.O.V

"Doctor we are no where near my house!" I groaned. "You've got the location wrong again"

"Don't blame me the TARDIS landed us here for a reason" The Doctor argued.

I looked at the forest around me. Trees, trees, trees, an old cottage and oh look more trees!

"We're in the middle of no where" I muttered.

But The Doctor wasn't listening he walked off in the opposite direction sniffing the air and scanning random rocks with his sonic screwdriver. I took the opportunity to see where we were on the TARDIS monitor.

" Alright darling why did you bring us here" I mumbled to myself turning random knobs, trying to get some idea of where we were.

"Oi! What have I told you about going near the controls"

I jumped and The Doctor swatted my hands away.

"Sorry" I said sarcastically.

"Don't be sassy Missy" he said pointing a finger at me.

"Just tell me where we are so we can go and do something fun!" I groaned.

The Doctor fiddled with more knobs I knew I would never understand unless he showed me and I'm pretty sure he doesn't know what he's doing...

"Aha!, well, will you look at that!"

"What?" I peered over his shoulder at the screen.

"It looks like we've landed in the heart of London, I wasn't that far off we're near baker street...oh..."

"Oh what?" I asked glancing at him, his smike turned into a frown.

"Doctor what is it?" I urged him.

He looked at me with worry in his eyes.

"Violet..."

"Yes Doctor?"

"It seems there's alien activity around baker street"

I looked at him puzzled. "Isn't that good let's go investigate"

"No" he reached out and pulled me back. " sinister alien activity in a school near here...with innocent children inside"

I crossed my arms and glared at him. "I am NOT staying in the TARDIS so don't order me"

The doctor shook his head. "I'm not going to I'm just letting you know its dangerous"

" I'll manage we do this for a living" I shrugged.

The Doctor grinned. "Great let's go!"

I stepped out of the TARDIS when I felt a gentel tug on my right wing. I turned around.

"Violet your wings" he reminded me.

"Oh"

I forgot humans don't have wings. I retracted my wings into my back and put on my leather jacket so only the tips of my wings peeked through.

"Don't keep them retracted for to long or your wings will grow stiff"

I nodded and made up my mind to stretch them a little bit when we got to somewhere private.

We've been running through this forest for twenty minutes and I'm convinced were lost.

"Doctor I think we're-"

Suddenly a girl ran barging past us, she was wearing a white mask and seemed to be in a hurry.

"Hey!" I shouted out to her but she didn't hear us. I don't even think she noticed us.

"Well that was rude" The doctor muttered brushing if his coat. I rolled my eyes.

"Doctor you look great, let's go"

I grabbed his arm and dragged him through the forest when we bumped into someone. Seriously! How many people wander into the middle of a forest! I looked up and stared into a pair of ice blue eyes, his hair was dark and curly and he wore a dark trench coat and a blue scarf. I could already tell he had an arrogant air about him.

"Excuse me, we seem to be lost" The Doctor said.

The man narrowed his eyes impatiently.

"Can you help us find Baker street" I asked quickly careful not to annoy this man.

"Down the street and to the left"he said.

"Thanks" I started to say but he already took of running in the other direction. Something about those ice blue eyes unnerved me. I felt like I've seen this man somewhere before.

"Hurry up Violet" The doctor rushed me and I tore my eyes away from the retreating figure and ran after him. We eventually made it to baker street and my heart stopped. These roads were very familiar. Images of my past started to dance in front of my eyes and I clenched them shut not letting the memories take over me. The pain and the taunting was like acid cutting into my mind. I felt someone shaking me. I opened my eyes.

"Violet" The Doctor said softly. He brushed a piece of hair from my face and tucked it behind my ear.

"What's wrong?"

I looked into his eyes and gave him a small smile. I swallowed the lump in my throat and put on my best brave face.

"I'm good, just sort of lost it a moment my mind tends to wander" I said trying my best to sound convincing and show him that I am OK.

"Alright" he kissed my forehead and we continued you walking as we got closer to the school I felt my hearts thump harder and my mouth became dry. This was my school. The students that hated me milling about the courtyard chatting and laughing in large groups. Some students glanced our way curiously. I stepped closer to The Doctor. I hadn't told him this was my second school and that the reason the principal did nothing to help the bullying is because I moved schools and things only became worse I never told my aunt and I begged Paige not to tell her. I didn't want her to be worried and now I'm keeping another secret to stop The Doctor from worrying about me. I could feel his gaze on me. I looked up at him and smiled.

"So what do we do?"

"Well I'm going to ask around the different houses and see if any one has noticed anything strange"

"In other words your going to pose as someone fake and snoop around" I smirked.

The Doctor halted and figited with his bow tie. "So are you!"

I grinned. "Great what do I do"

"Become a student and look for anything strange"

The world slowed down as I stared at him, my hearts thumped so hard I was afraid they would break through my chest. I breathed in deeply on focused my gaze on my school. He wanted me to pose as a student in the same place that I had been tortured in for the past three years I had been there.

"Violet?"

I snapped out of my train of thought.

"Hmm?"

"I asked do you want me to enlist you into the school?"

I forced a smile. "Yeah let's kick some sinister alien butt!"

"Violet!"

"Sorry" I muttrered meekly.

Phew at least that worked!
