Last night...was not unusual. After running into Harry, I had tucked my bike in the garage and Edwin was passed out on the couch. I set the drugs on his lap and ran up to my room to finish up my homework.
Now, I stood alone at the bus stop, waiting for Louis.
What was I even going to say to him?
"Hey, I really liked kissing you yesterday but you're my best friend and I think I like you more than a friend so can we make out now?"
This was going to be more awkward than I thought.
I tapped my foot impatiently and crossed my arms as light snow began to fall. Gray slush blanketed the sidewalk from the previous day and soaked my tan Bearpaw boots.
Stupid snow. Stupid winter. Stupid England weather.
I checked the time on my white iPhone for what seemed like the thousandth time today.
7:35.
Where the hell is Louis? He's never one to just leave me waiting.
What if he was so nervous to see me that he ditched school? Did our kiss freak him out that much?
Judging from how he just ran off, yes.
My phone vibrated in my hand, indicating that I had received a text.
Louis: Hey I'm really sorry but I had to visit Doncaster for awhile. Family emergency. Stuck here for 2 more weeks. Take care, Abby xx
I scoffed. What am I supposed to do for two weeks without him? My phone vibrated again.
Louis: I love you
My jaw dropped. I don't even know why I was surprised, it's not like this is the first time we've exchanged I love you's. Maybe it's because it was always in a friendly manner but after the kiss, it just seems more... intimate?
My frostbitten fingers rapidly typed back a response.
Me: I love you too.

"I know the day has barely begun but my wife is in labour at the moment."
Mr. Hubbard rushed around the room frantically gathering his things. He looked absolutely flustered with a hint of terror in his eyes.
"So, uh, you all have study hall for the rest of the class period."
My classmates roared with cheers as Mr. Hubbard waved goodbye and fled the room.
Thank god, I don't think I would've survived through one of his lectures today.
Everybody split up and did their own thing. I noticed that Harry was nowhere to be seen. Didn't he say he wanted to talk to me today?
My stomach churned at the thought of all the agonizing secrets I would have to tell him. Looking around, nobody seemed to notice as I slipped out of the room.
I hustled to the spacious library and was greeted with the smell of old books. There were very few students lingering around, too busy in their own little world. Their concentrated eyes were glued to the words of novels and wondrous fiction. It was quiet and calm, other than the sounds of chairs occasionally scraping against the floor and papers shuffling.
I tip-toed to the back of the library where it was secluded and sat at an empty table. I yawned and rested my head on the polished surface. Closing my sluggish eyes, I decided to doze off for just a few minutes.
---------------------
Darkness. That was all I could see and hear. I felt suffocated and constricted as my breathing grew heavier. My ankles burned like they were on fire when I tried to wiggle. I twisted my body so I was facing the rope that was wrapped securely around my feet, preventing any sort of movement.
Where am I?
My hands flew out as I shrieked for help but no sound escaped. I was trapped inside some kind of box, maybe a coffin? My body trembled and I repeatedly banged on the wall above me.
Help! Please help me! I'm stuck in here! Help!
It was like no one could hear me.
Bright light flooded the coffin as the top lid creaked open. My eyes blinked, trying to adjust to the sudden brightness.
"Well, hello there."
Michael purred with a sinister smile. He took hold of my hair and yanked me out of the coffin. Michael dragged me around a tall building as I took in my surroundings.
We were in some sort of abandoned town. The shabby houses looked as if they would collapse if you threw a rock at it. Vines grew over the gruesome statues and unkempt houses.
Michael dragged me into a creepy barn and threw me onto a stack of hay.
"What are you doing?!" I cried as he advanced towards me with a garden hoe. He ignored me and swung the hoe at my tied-up feet.
Excruciating pain shot up my legs and my dark crimson blood spilled across the floor.
Without warning, Edwin appeared, holding a long curved knife. He chuckled demonically and held the knife under my chin.
"PLEASE. DON'T HURT ME. I'LL DO ANYTHING." I broke into hysterics, and the ghastly sight of my distorted bleeding feet were enough to send me over the edge.
"Aww, poor little Abigail. No one's going to hear your pathetic whining."
Edwin sneered and threw his head up to the sky and cackled devilishly.
Michael scampered around the room, his body twisting in odd shapes. It looked like something from the Exorcist. He morphed into a wretched demon as his red slits gawked at me. My heart hammered against my chest and I've never been so frightened in my life.
"ABIGAIL. ABIGAIL. ABIGAIL." The monster screeched deafeningly.
"Abigail!" My eyes shot open and were met with green ones.
