I pedaled as fast as I can, avoiding the debris cluttering the road. One benefit of sneaking around and getting these drugs for him was that I knew these streets like the back of my hand.

My legs started to ache but I continued to pedal.

Almost there. Should be right around the corner.

It must have been the icy road or the dark shadow of a figure that made me turn too fast and swerve into the curb. I flew off my bike and hit the ground with a heavy thud.

Out of the corner of my eye, the figure emerged from the dark alley and stepped towards me. I turned my head to see a tall stranger with tufts of crazy neon green hair sticking out from his black hoodie, piercing green eyes, and skin as pale as the falling snow. I whimpered in fear as he advanced towards me.

"What's a pretty face like yours doing all by yourself out here?" He smirked as I stood up. My legs were a bit wobbly from the fall.

"Are you, uhm, Michael Clifford?" I took a wild guess, since he was the only guy I saw on this block. He looked pretty young to be a drug dealer though, maybe 18 or 19.

His eyebrows rose in surprise. "Indeed I am." A creepy smile formed and he slowly retreated into the darkness of the alley.

"Follow me."

Chills ran down my spine from both the eeriness of the situation and the London snow. My feet reacted before my brain did, and I hesitantly walked deeper into the pitch-black alley.

Where did he go? My eyes tried to adjust to the sudden darkness.

"Michael?"

Rough hands grasped my shoulders and pressed me against the wall. His hand clasped around my mouth before I had the chance to scream.

"Shhh. Calm down." Michael nuzzled his face near my neck, his fluffy hair tickling my chin. I was shaking in terror by now.

"Please don't hurt me." I whispered as he peppered wet, slimy kisses down my collarbone. I struggled to escape but his grip tightened even more.

"If I had known that Edwin had a daughter, I would've asked him to be my client a long time ago." His husky voice murmured. I could hear my heart thumping erratically in my chest.

"Can you please just give me the drugs Edwin wanted? I have the money. Please." My voice echoed off the brick walls.

Michael huffed and released his grip.

"Fine. How many packs did he ask for?"

"12," I took a few steps away from him, still wary of his intentions.

Michael reached behind a dumpster that I haven't noticed before and held out a small bag with 12 packs of heroin.

We exchanged the money and the drugs, keeping the $3 change for myself. I recounted the heroin, making sure there were 12 packs before stuffing them in my purse.

"This should be enough for 12 packs of heroin. Bring me any less and I'll have your throat."

Edwin's threat remained fresh in my mind.

Michael flipped through the cash and smiled.

"See you soon, princess." He sneered and disappeared into the shadows.

I let out a breath that I didn't know I was holding and recomposed myself. I could still feel his hands groping me and kissing me. I shuddered at the memory.

Time to head back home.

I hopped on my bike, blindly turned the corner, and crashed into something...or someone.

I flew off my bike for the second time today.

The guy I crashed into lay a few feet away, groaning.

"Watch where you're going next time." The boy's deep voice sounded so familiar. I took the time to inspect him.

"Harry?"

His green eyes snapped up.

"Oh! Abigail!" Harry quickly stood up and held his hand out to help me up. I glared at him, still mad about his hurtful words this morning. I accepted his hand anyways and he pulled me up.

Harry raised his hand up, and I flinched on instinct but felt nothing. I opened my eyes to see Harry's hand travel to the back of his neck so he could scratch it.

"Listen, I just wanted to apologize for what I said at school today. It was totally uncalled for. I'm a jerk and..." his eyes flickered down to a small object on the floor. It was one packet of heroin, slightly wet from the surrounding snow.

Oh shit, it must've fallen out of my bag when I crashed into him.

Harry crouched down and carefully picked it up. I tried to snatch it from him but he held it high above my head.

"Hey! That's mine!" I whined, my cheeks flaring with embarrassment.

Great, now he thinks I'm a crazy drug addict.

Harry cocked his eyebrow as his judgmental eyes stared at me.

"You know Abigail, drugs are bad for you. I'm trying to help you."

"If you want to help me, then give it to me! I NEED IT." Tears threatened to spill as I thought of all the ways Edwin could punish me if I didn't have all 12 packs.

Maybe another black eye? Or he might lock me in my room for a week with no food or water. Or maybe even chop my fingers off? This kind of thing has happened before.

Tears streamed down my face now and I collapsed in the snow, sobbing. Harry started panicking at my sudden emotional outburst.

He's probably never dealt with a hormonal 'druggie' before.

He bent down and rubbed my back soothingly.

"Please give it back. Please. I don't want to die. Please don't let him hurt me." I blubbered hysterically.

"Wait what? Let who hurt you?"

I froze. Shit, he can't find out about Edwin.

"No one. It's nothing. I'm just talking nonsense." I tried covering up my mistake, failing.

"No, you said someone will hurt you. You can tell me, Abigail, it's okay."

I stayed silent, debating whether or not to tell him about Edwin. I sighed.

"The drugs are for my stepdad. He'll hurt me if I don't give it to him. So can I have it back now?" I held out my hand for the heroin, hoping my answer satisfied him.

"What? That's insane! How can you live like that? Why don't you report him to the police?"

My eyes widened in horror. I grasped his bicep, begging.

"Please don't! Social Services will take me away. I'm BEGGING YOU. Don't do anything. Just give me back the drug so I can go home." Normally, I wouldn't beg unless it was urgent. Which this was pretty damn urgent.

He sighed and placed the tiny bag in my hand. I smiled gratefully and put it in my bag, making sure it wouldn't fall out again.

"But don't think I will forget about this. We'll talk about this tomorrow okay?" Harry's lips were pursed and he looked concerned.

"Okay. Thanks for giving it back." I wiped my tears and hugged him.

"Bye."
